Yes!

Most of you prolly know, but to those who I haven't got around to telling yet, and to those who I've forgot about: It's time for me to join ze military. This of course means that I wont be (even semi)active in the JA anymore. It will be a leave of either 6, 9, or 12 months. I know for sure in a couple of months.

I will be home during every third weekend, give or take one, and will probably hop on IRC and MSN, heck maybe even the servers.

I'll be joining the Finnish Marines on monday the 10th of July, 2006. I'll probably update this thread with comments along the way, about how it's going etc. Like a diary for you JA ppl.

I want to thank all you guys for the splendid fun I've had over the last 2½ years, and it's by no means ending now. This is just a temporary break from it. I expect a lot of things to change during my absence, and I want to say farewell to whoever will leave us during this time. Cheers and hf! Big love to all of ya! <3<3

Long time since I've updated here...

Well, we're at another milestone in my military career now. I just got promoted from 'Ranger' to Corpral! wooooo

Congrats to me!

This doesn't really mean anything tho, a bit more responsibility but nothing spectacular really. On the other hand it's a recognition of my skills and since only three guys from my company (some 100 guys) got promoted I guess I'm really special lol

!

Nothing else has really happened during these two-or-so months. The weather's become much more Finnish and it's really cold here, no snow yet though. I'm gonna get home this weekend for the first time in 3 weeks, sweet! I'm gonna try to fix my JK3 and hop online but I have absolutely no idea what's wrong with it.

Hope some of you will be online to help me out on that then.

I wish you guys (and gals) all the best in the future and hopefully I see most of you on IRC or MSN in the near future.

Back on holiday #2.

Life's great you guys! I've been sick a couple of times so I missed on a couple of important training sessions but I can probably correct that within the next couple of weeks. Next week we'll have some swimming tests and a couple of practices in shooting. Uptil now I've been one of the top 10 guys in our company in shooting praccies and I'm gonna try to stay on that level.

So all in all, everything's just awesome. I can't say that I'd rather be in the military than home, but it's not bad at all really.

If you keep the good attitude up, I believe you'll benefit VERY much from the service.

Hahaaa! Guess who's here for the weekend. I must say everything's awesome in the marines! We don't really have any free time there, probably around 30min per day. But most importantly, it's fuuuuuun!

I don't have anything übercool to tell you guys about the military so far. It's just basic training and we really haven't done anything that special yet. Next week we're going on 'March 2' (26km), that should be fun. Also we have some condition tests and some psychological evaluation tests. And oh yeah! We also have a 3 day camp(?) coming up, can't wait for that one!
