KotOR2: The Sith Lords Restoration project **Official KotOR2 Thread** | |

I thought i would make a topic of this so the information is easier to find. My original post was permied in This thread.
Quote: Answer 1: There is no way to get through the door. It was part of content that was later removed due to time constraints (blame LA for that) there was a whole section of the game removed - a droid factory where the HK-50/1 were constructed i'm not sure if that is what is through the door though or something else.
Answer 2: If you talk to the guy behind the bar in the cantina on nar shadaar you can buy a beverage (i forget the name) that you can lace the kath hounds drink with (the bowl) when they are asleep you can slice the door and collect some loot. If i remember correct you have to use a stealth belt to listen in on some thugs in the apartments (area where you eventually meet the jedi and where mira leaves you etc.) they give you the idea and you can then ask the guy for the drink. About the missing content: Some modders have been working hard to reconstruct these missing parts of the game and dialogue since KotOR2's release you can find their progress site here and their forums here Its well on its way hopefully they will finish it soon! I found this link to a restoration of a cut out planet as well. This is definitley still in buisness, the team involved with TSLRP recently gave an interview for GWN, it can be found In this article. They state that work is still going ahead, and that it will definitley be released, they just do not know the exact date. ~Alex D'Kana _______________ To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield | Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken | Rhaiko D'kana - SWTOR EU Guild Co-Founder | Is it what the teacher, teaches? Quote: Yeah, i think the ending is decided on dantooine after you receive one of the special force powers. The rewarded power is purely dependant on your alignment though. That means, you can kill all of the jedi masters and still be rewarded the LS force power if you keep your alignment in the "good" area after the sequence on dantooine.
Quote: As far as i can tell, as soon as you commit a dark act that results in the death of a Jedi Master, then even if you save the others, they will turn on you when you meet; is that right? They'll turn on you no matter what you do. Yeah sorry i didn't write that very clearly, i know they try to strip you of the force, i was reffering to them attempting to kill you (which i've heard happens if you kill one of them but not the others?) Thanks though, thats probably it, i just wasn't sure when your alignment became 'locked in' so to speak, and you passed the point where you could change the ending, ala the rakatan temple in 1. _______________ To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield | Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken | Rhaiko D'kana - SWTOR EU Guild Co-Founder | Is it what the teacher, teaches? well, i'm not a amazing fan of kotor 2, its good though, but yes. But i think its when you talk to kreia after you go to dantooine for the second time.. when you either fight the jedi masters or agree with them ect... maybe not though. _______________ Quote: I mostly agree oh Lord of the squeezy mop

I'm playing through TSL again at the mo, i'm on my first planet so far (chose Dantooine) and i'm actually enjoying it a lot, i'd forgotten how good a game it is even without the cut content. I'm trying to make a bit of an Anti-hero this time, and my character is mainly armour wearing and gun wielding heh.
It has brought to light one problem i have with the game though - It is very hard to actually be an anti hero in it. In KotOR1 the point where you choose whether you are light or dark is clearly defined (the moment atop the Rakatan Temple in the fight with Bastila), however in TSL its harder to tell at what point you become stuck on one path. I've been wondering about when it is the game decides you are dark or light (and adjusts the ending to suit). I have tried my best to remember how the plot and quests work, and have even read some guides but have found little to answer my question. Does anyone here know? As far as i can tell, as soon as you commit a dark act that results in the death of a Jedi Master, then even if you save the others, they will turn on you when you meet; is that right? Is it possible to complete the game with a lightside ending, even after killing a Jedi Master? Also, is it possible to get the light ending if you are Dark side orientated, or even have a Sith Prestige class? If anyone has any answers they would be appreciated, as i'm basically trying to play a flawed character who makes some big mistakes, but does the right thing in the end. /endwaffle _______________ To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield | Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken | Rhaiko D'kana - SWTOR EU Guild Co-Founder | Is it what the teacher, teaches? Heh, perhaps somthing like you are in the mandalorian wars. Like Alex sayd, to ask a few questions to see how Revan looked and then start at the Jedi Tempel as an Initiate, somthing alike Fable. Then get the choise to follow Revan or to stick with the Jedi Order.. or somthing like that... more jedi vs Jedi! _______________ One night, I was lying in my bed, looking up at the stars and I said to myself: "Where the h*** is my ceiling?! |

Those are all pretty good ideas.
I think at this point, almost every KotOR fan has their own opinion on what should happen in the third instalment. It will certainly be interesting finding out (presuming they make one). Personally i'd like for the player to start as someone who does not know they can use the force, or someone who has renounced it, primarily because i like having some non force/saber action for the main character. The game would be bigger, and it would feature three tiers instead of two - your character goes from the non jedi class through to the specialist classes (e.g Sith Lord, Jedi Master). It should feature 1 or 2 more party member options that KotOR2, however there should be more instances of characters being optional like Juhani from KotOR1, and the choices you got in KotOR2. While it should feature the threat in the unknown regions mentioned in KotOR2, i think it should also include gameplay on a core world, or similar, this would add an element of familiarity, plus it dosn't sound like there will be too many traditional republic worlds in the UR, and the game needs interaction with NPC's in towns etc. as well. At the start of the game, or during the game you could be asked to enter some information about Reven and The Exile, this information would then generate what they look like, and their history when they make their appearence (and they both should have one). Previous party members should make a return, even if its not in a playable capacity in all circumstances. For example KotOR isn't complete without HK and T3. Lastly the game should include a large battle/war which features Reven and the Exile, the threat, possibly another force (e.g republic) and then you and your party caught in the middle, having to choose a side. I should stop, the more i think about it, the more i want it to be released! _______________ To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield | Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken | Rhaiko D'kana - SWTOR EU Guild Co-Founder | Is it what the teacher, teaches? Yes, hehe,...and ,.. oh, what coinsidence!..it's not like Lucas made a Trilogy before... Here's in hoping. And, how about this for a plotline, they've allready set the DS/LS, FC/MC thingy on Revan and the Exile. Turns out in the beyond where they both went, Revan fell again. and the Exile who was (The) last jedi), haha Bastilla is in there in K2 in a Holo-vid I think, wasnt she a Jedi?!, anyway, last Jedi. And they've fought in a Epic battle but the outcome is unknown, and you as a newly made Jedi say 15 years after the Exile went, is sent on a scout mission. To find out, and what you do and decide etc during the game leads to multiple ends..maybe Carth is in there as an old General or summin..maybe a reappearance of Juhani or summin, HK-47..who knows..Mandalore..he always liked Revan. _______________ " You've just taken your first steps into a larger world. <--- Oh and i agree it would be great to see an epic third game that brings resolution to the series, and to Reven's story. Waaaaa! I can't wait.
I played over KotOR recently. What do you think? Should I wait for the mod or just play over KotOR 2 anyway? Well i recently started TSL again, playing through it as a darkish person, who does the right thing in the end. I decided once the Project is finished i'll never experience it in its unfinished form again so i gave it a go! If you are feeling like playing through then it certainly couldn't hurt, its still a great game. Aye, indeed, had the chance to do the same recently, and I have to say, even though there's a lot of cut content, TSL is still a great game IMO oC, the two games flow together very nicely, makes one giddy with the thought of, as Kreia says, the Great War beyond the Outer Rim that Revan went for, that could be the main plot of K3. Thanks for the positive feedback so far on the thread guys. As i said in the thread i do not think this mod is going the way of the infamous Knight of the Force mod for JK (see here) It is certainly taking a while, but that is mainly due to what is involved in the project - they are having to restore large parts of the game, and as they say in the interview this is subtley different to the more traditional way of modding a game. Oh and Saz this will definitely be out before KotOR3.. if only because we have not heard anything more than the odd mangeled rumour about the third games existance. Not that i don't think there will be one, far from it, i am almost certain LA will get around to it eventually, even the second game made them a fair amount of money and garnered a good amount of critical support dispite being released unfinished! _______________ To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield | Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken | Rhaiko D'kana - SWTOR EU Guild Co-Founder | Is it what the teacher, teaches?
