Actually, what I saw looked similar to the effects you can get with the gravity gun in HL2. Perhaps a new jedi/other star wars game based on that engine? We can always hope ...  _______________ A wizard did it. |

If this is truely the next game coming out, I am stuffing money under my matress right now as I type this for what ever game console/alienware/kitchen sink/etc. I will need to buy in order to enjoy the endless bliss of this masterpiece. I will however be highly disappointed if the saber doesn't interact with the world as good as the powers do. I'm so tired of little red marks that look kind of cool that are just fancy crayon marks. I wanna be able to cut through poles, cat walks, chairs, bodies, walls, and of course doors! Also, it always interested me how Jedi are so good at picking things, people, etc. up but not themselves. It would also be nice if they introduced some type of flight or levitation because I don't see why it hasn't been done yet. Even if it's only riding some type of object that your using the force to control. I had the distinct impression that most of it was ig graphics, but the scenarios involved, physics etc. may of been exagerrated to give an impression of what the player can do. I am making no judgement on the game until we see an official name, gametype, and screenshots from the final/close to final game. It is, they showed two demo's to journalists behind closed doors. One was more or less this one, the other was the molecular material one where they fired R2D2's at things like plywood and JarJar's incased in carbonite. Think IGN had a preview somewhere that describes the demo's just like this one, and they did not mention it was only for consoles nor anything about the Wii Remote (That if i remember correctly has in fact come more since e3 due to popular demands, although i could be wrong. Well the one at E3 that showed "molecular material" or whatever was supposed to be console only, and take advantage of the wii-mote. Yep but no worries, the game looks so good it deserves two threads Some good points made in this one, although i personally i found the game physics shown so far more impressive than the graphics. From what i have heard and now seen i do not believe this is just another episode 3 the game, LA were using this to demostrate some new phisics they seem genuinly excited and proud of. Wether this will come to the PC is of course another question, however i remain optimistic, the pc is faaaaar from dead as a games machine, and still offers the best online play, i think wether this game appears on PC at launch or at all, depends greatly on its gameplay. If it is strictly third person and controlled in a similar way to other third person action games (Zelda, Ep 3 etc.) Then yeah it probably won't. I'd actually be suprised if this game ever gets released for the PC, just like that ep3 one. Still, we can surely expect one thing of that new sw game (and that goes for most of the newer games anyways): awesome graphics. Thing is though, since this game has been optimized and primarily developed for consoles, i can forsee an extremly simplified gameplay that revolves around button-smashing one key in order to make nice combos. I'm willing to bet this is a next gen console game.
