Kicking in JA | |

To start off,I'm not referring to kicking people out of servers but actual "foot in face, send to the floor" type of kicking. - maybe getting a bit off point, anyways playing through JA:SP I noticed that all the Jedi/dark Jedi like Kyle using a single saber or people with two sabers could still kick opponents like a saber staff wielder and still be able to throw their saber- what's up with that? Can you bind a key or something? |

which part of a dude swinging around a lightsaber really makes you want to place your foot within its reach? Frankly, what Saz said, it is a completely negated move in any fight as it forces you to become stationary for 1-2 seconds. Real fights can be over in that space of time. _______________ I fite for teh usars!1 |

well in real fights kicking is pretty much useless.
kicking is only for messing around and/or ja+ 'gaming'. _______________ playing jk3 since 30th of january (2005), member since 1st of february. [Unofficial Master to Vision and Zdiac ] If you can make a fool of yourself infront of 300 people you can do anything - Jaiko D'kana |

Lucky NPCs.... but it made me wonder, why shouldn't other sabers be able to kick though? I mean the saber staff is already pretty scary with its fast side to side swings. Having it for single would be really sweet and even up the odds a bit when facing a staff~ Ah- imagine a guy coming at ya, swinging his staff like that scissor dude from clocktower - then you plant your foot right in his face |

I'm not sure if this would not be possible with a mod though. _______________ Proud owner of Malak's 50th and special 300th, Alex D'Kana's 3600th and 4000th, Laziana's 200th and [Jawa][Obi-Wan][SW]'s 1300th comment. |

Hehe, you're being nicely observant there Yeah, that's right, Jedi/Dark Jedi NPCs can kick at people, but the player him/herself can't do that. It's because the NPC is equipped with moves we can't make. As a general rule, in JK3 there's no kicking available unless you get a staff and press secondary attack. If you'd like to throw your saber using a staff, switch to the Medium Stance first - in staffmode, you can't throw.
I hope that helped _______________ The name is Bond. James Bond. This comment was edited by Dash Starlight on Oct 31 2006 12:56pm. |
