im only want to discuss if it is helpfull when a
teacher of ours start a class which focus the fight against sabersingle and dual/staff... i think i dont speak 4 me only if i say, "i dont know how to defend myself and counter against a staff/dual" if there is any teacher who know how to fight a staff/dual he should think about that and maybe open a class, im the first who join in the rooster^^ mkey, lets discuss^^ |

Staffers generaly can beat a red user up to about high intermediate level really - then it gets harder, because the red user's generaly find wierd strategies to fight staffers.. like..Backflip spin spam! best.Moves.Ever =p _______________ Quote: I mostly agree oh Lord of the squeezy mop

From my totally objective and unbiased point of view, staff is overpowered.
So is duals... and red... ooh, and yellow too. Blue is broken though; just like staff, but in the opposite manner. Anyways, (when playing a red stancer) faster stances are best utilized in a counter-based playing style. Their speed and versatility allows for quick exploitation of the opponents openings, leaving the red stancer no choice but to excessively engage in evasive maneuvers (aka backwards-key abuse). Once this particular flow has been established, the red stancer's only way to do any damage at all, is by relying on the opponents carelessness, impatience and imperfect footwork. Matches between a really good staffer and someone who knows how to abuse their backwards-key properly, will ultimately end up in a very boring and dull experience for both the contestants and spectators alike. when u attack you either want to be super accurate or miss while still be far enough away not to get hit. attacks that are harder to counter would be aerials or other swings with weird timings (delays, left swings). basically go and watch the TIT5 final demo _______________ playing jk3 since 30th of january (2005), member since 1st of february. i guess for for single vs staff/duals the strategy would be to play defense using ur movement and saber. attack with moves that are hard to counter and switch up the timing of your swings to mess up their attemps to close the range.
when u attack you either want to be super accurate or miss while still be far enough away not to get hit. attacks that are harder to counter would be aerials or other swings with weird timings (delays, left swings). |

keep your elbow in closer to your body, use your torso to generate your swing, i.e. don't swing with your arm (the arm is merely a lever), think of your torso uncoiling to unleash your ultimate tennis power.
