Hey I just arrived, and I was going through the classes, and I didn't see any hand to hand. I'm a bit confused with the site so can someone tell me if they have someone teaching, or someone is going to? |

Of course, a jat would supervise all of this Nah, we don't need a JAT  All it takes is for a group of people to decide on a day and time when the server isn't used for classes, and join it and do some melee

Maybe not a class, but a set time on classes server for people to go in and start messing around with melee and learn from each other would be nice. I would definately go to that.

Awesome I'm not sure if there's actually going to be a melee class, but we could learn from you anyway just in case. In the 'worst' case we can pass it on at the servers, or launch a class in the future. If there's enough interest a class wouldn't hurt, indeed. We try to teach you guys how to master any aspect of the game and melee is part of that. I won't be the one teaching you melee, but I can talk it over with others who might.
On another note, I'd rather see a Red class for example than a Melee class. Not because melee is 'inferior of value' or anything, but because there'd be more need and demand for red. Anyway, we'll see what we can do. _______________ The name is Bond. James Bond. |

Just saw this, and a spark just ignited my interest. In the past Virtue has had a fun free-for-all after his classes. Melee of course lol. Unfortunately I always SUCKED at it big time. I don't even know the right keys to press to get the right moves (punches, kicks, holds etc).
Maybe there won't be that much interest in a class, and then again, maybe there will. I for one will be interested in learning something like this, if only to change the game a little from time to time. Hey man, firstly, welcome to the Jedi Acdemy. There's actually been talk about Melee training classes, but the problem is it aint used to much, like Plancore pointed out. With only a few JAK+ remaining, we're focussing on the classes with the largest demand, such as lightsaber training.
So yeah, it's a matter of time mostly; we need more JAK+ first. That, or maybe find a JAK+ who's good at melee combat (not me ) and he/she will teach you one-on-one if you like. _______________ The name is Bond. James Bond. |

Debugmelee combat isn't really all that common in JKA, and as such I don't think there's a demand for a class for such a little used, and frankly quite simple aspect of the game.
