Macbook Problem/Question

Well, when I'm playing on the Macbook (yes, I'm aware it's hardly made for gaming, but still lol), and I have a mouse plugged in, I can't link attacks into a combo at all. It's as if it's lagging or something. However, when I use the touchpad, I can scissor and do combos with ease (but anyone who has tried to play with touchpad knows it's next to impossible to aim), so it's not as if I just can't do it anymore. I was curious if anyone else had this problem, and if they knew what I could do to fix it. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
