Hi everyone,
I found this place whilst looking for JK3 performance tips around the web. I found the info I needed elswhere and by accident really, so I thought I'd share.

My new rig ( the inportant bits):-
C2D e6600
Nvidia 8800gts 320mb
2gig ram
Win XP sp2.

The first thing I did after installing JK3 was up the resolution 1600x1200. The result was about 15 fps. Eventually I noticed a statement in the release notes for patch 1.01 that dynamic glow could cause problems for ATI cards. Even though mines Nvidia, I tried disabling it, and hey presto, super smooth gameplay. Seems a shame that the latest gfx causes a problem with this effect on, but the fact I can play the game with a smooth framerate at all is good enough for now.

Hope this is of some use to someone, and hopefully see some of you on the servers this weekend,

I only have a sempron 2800+ and a radeon 9250,and dynamic glow doesn't lag me a bit.
