Ever since i tried deleting the pk3 files and the jampconfig file to try and make MB work i've been getting pings of over 400 in all servers including duel with 2 people.:(
I've tried doing /rate 25000 but it was still set to that and i don't know what to do.:(

Don't know if this is the same as my problem a while ago, but here goes.

I did some research into pings, and the biggest factor was the 'route' your data travelled. I checked mine with a small prog I downloaded (can't remember which and my OS has changed now). It told me that my data was going through something like 12 hops to get wher it was going. That I thought really strange because I live in the country of the server I wanted lol.

It turned out to be the ISP believe it or not. Changing ISP's sorted out the problem emmediately. My ping dropped from 200+ to 25 for the same server. The ISP's decide what route your data will travel, and there's NOTHING you can do about THAT.

Hope this gives you a bit of an insight?

Did you back them up? You only had to move them from your base folder, not actually delete them. If you have got another copy of your old configuration, try restoring it and see if it helps your ping at all. I would also recommend taking a look at the 'Improve your FPS/ping' permanent thread.

Should all of this fail, it may just be a temporary coincidence. My ping rises to around 400 once in a while, presumably because there is a disruption blocking the connection on its' way to the server.
