SPAWN/BANNED/WHY?

Simple question.

Basically I consider all Academy members extended family/friends(members extended? ROFL:D) so when one of those members vanishes it feels like I've lost something.

Now hear this, I'm not in any way questioning the authority of senior members of the Academy or their decisions, you have my respect:D.
However, consider this...

Had a conversation with a new student the other day, asked him if he was enjoying the Academy.
He said he was and specifically mentioned Spawn.
Spawn welcomed him, gave him the grand tour/hints/tips and answered all his questions leaving the "new student"(I'll let him speak for himself) with a positive first impression of the JA.
Now I don't know Spawns history and I have seen a few angry comments(most of which have been amusing) but, since I've been here, I've watched his attitude improve.

Something to ponder. If this were a real life Jedi Academy would Spawn have been kicked? Or would we all simply work harder to improve him?

Anyway, could someone please tell us what he did that was so terrible?
I have to know(I'm sure I'm not the only one).;)

I see Bubu:cool:. I guess if he broke that agreement he only has himself to blame.
I guess Spawns banning just made me think more about the real life people behind the cool profile pics. Whatever that means.

you have to remember that spawn has been banned befored and he was let back in on condition that he would behave like an angel. it was agreed from the beginning that the slightest thing was going to get him banned again. unfortunately, he couldn't keep a low profile and hold himself, so he's out, again. and this time for good probably.

I remember the comment that got him the warning Buzz, I think I commented on it at the time.
Surely a few insane comments can't be the only reason(though I understand how those comments could piss people off).

You want one reason? OK I'll give you one very public reason. Go to the Academy Awards thread. And currently at the top of the second page of previous comments is a message from Chosen One giving Spawn an official warning for a post he made. I hope that clears up some of your questions.

Understood Ulic, I see the difference and I'm sure glad Sun Crushers aren't real;).

Still curious as to the details of the banning though.

I think also, like your reference to a real-life JA, that in this case, we are not obligated to let all Force-users in, or to try super-hard to help them.

If a student wished to be disruptive, we can help/tolerate to a certain point. If they really want to keep going, we can then ban them. It is not like the student is going to become a dark Jedi, steal a Sun Crusher, and kill millions of people. If they leave, they leave, and hopefully, no bad effects on us.

The difference between a RL Jedi Academy and this one is that this one is private, the RL one is more public. In the RL, there are rammifications to letting a Force-user go really evil (not saying anyone is, but comparative.)

We are JA, the semi-private club. Not JA, the Galactically-sponsored-source of all Jedi Training.

Jedi do not fight for peace. That's only a slogan, and is as misleading as slogans always are. Jedi fight for civilization, because only civilization creates peace.

I think I understand fellow "Scotchie";). His behaviour was somewhat erratic. I think he was learning though.

BTW Who the hell is Mary Bell?:D

Spawn was very two-faced. He could be a very nice kid at one moment, then the next he is being Mary Bell, the bastard child from hell. Unfortunately, Mary Bell showed up too much. So, the result is obvious.

Two reasons Buzz. Firstly, I never noticed anyone else being banned(perhaps Spawn just stood out more or was more active in the forums).

Secondly, more specifically, the conversation I had with a new member. He made this guy feel welcome and helped him out. Then, a few hours later, he was banned.

What happened in those few hours? I'm curious.

Also, it's in my nature to question everything;).

Mistral, this is the 4th time he was banned. So he's had several chances before. Really you don't need to know why he was banned because the answer and reason is simple and you know it already. He broke the rules. And he broke them enough to get banned. Here's something for you to consider though. What's the big deal with him getting banned. There have been other people banned here since you've joined. Why aren't you asking why they were banned?
