Got this rumor from Wikipedia: Quote: On April 25th, 2007, a rumor came about that BioWare was secretly in development on a Knights of the Old Republic MMORPG. Stemming from the latest issue of EGM, the rumor contained little information to support the claim. However, investigation into the matter reveals that there is more to the rumor than EGM's single suggestion. In early 2006 BioWare opened an Austin branch to develop an unnamed MMORPG. This alone confirmed an inevitable BioWare MMO, but the choice of Richard Vogel as a leader of the project is what largely suggest that the currently unnamed MMO is set in the KOTOR universe. Vogel was one of the project leaders behind the sci-fi MMO Star Wars Galaxies. SWG was held down by being set in a universe where continuity prevented any true story development (such as seen in WoW) and SOE assuming creative control eventually caused the removal of the things that had kept SWG's hardcore fanbase playing among them the skill tree system, which allowed for more customizable characters and drastic changes to the game's combat and character profession selection.

Is it because he was a whiney farm boy from some backwater hack planet? No, it's because he was a FREAKING JEDI. He could block lasers with his lightsaber. He could levitate droids & rocks & crap with his mind. Come on, he choked two pig dudes with just a simple gesture. He cut off Darth Vader's hand and kicked him down a flight of stairs. Beta weekends starting in September, officially announced! Large increase in testers. I imagine a lot of people will get in now to these weekends. Be sure to make an account on the official website to have a chance.

One of the devs did post that this boss was intended to be more of a tank, not as mobile as other bosses. Esseles Dev Walkthrough Video
Nice video summarizing the first part of the Esseles flashpoint. I liked the majority of the dialogue and a few of the choices were very KOTOR-esque. Would have liked to see more variety / details on the NPCs, but at least the more prominent ones were distinct. Combat seems more intensive than most MMOs, but, I haven't played it yet, so hard to judge still. Hmm, don't trust beta leaks that much, but the detail behind this looks legit enough. Took a peak at system requirements. HD has a DVD-ROM requirement? Those requirements don't appear to be minimum, maybe minimum for everything possible in the game, such as raiding, which in my experience tends to be the most strenuous MMO feature graphics-wise.
