Got this rumor from Wikipedia: Quote: On April 25th, 2007, a rumor came about that BioWare was secretly in development on a Knights of the Old Republic MMORPG. Stemming from the latest issue of EGM, the rumor contained little information to support the claim. However, investigation into the matter reveals that there is more to the rumor than EGM's single suggestion. In early 2006 BioWare opened an Austin branch to develop an unnamed MMORPG. This alone confirmed an inevitable BioWare MMO, but the choice of Richard Vogel as a leader of the project is what largely suggest that the currently unnamed MMO is set in the KOTOR universe. Vogel was one of the project leaders behind the sci-fi MMO Star Wars Galaxies. SWG was held down by being set in a universe where continuity prevented any true story development (such as seen in WoW) and SOE assuming creative control eventually caused the removal of the things that had kept SWG's hardcore fanbase playing among them the skill tree system, which allowed for more customizable characters and drastic changes to the game's combat and character profession selection.

Esseles Dev Walkthrough Video
Nice video summarizing the first part of the Esseles flashpoint. I liked the majority of the dialogue and a few of the choices were very KOTOR-esque. Would have liked to see more variety / details on the NPCs, but at least the more prominent ones were distinct. Combat seems more intensive than most MMOs, but, I haven't played it yet, so hard to judge still. Oh wait, did I mention you actually have to pay a subscription fee NEXT to the 40-45 GBP you have to shell out for this? Pre-order price is pretty steep due to the Malgus statue. The collectors edition will apparently cost $150 and you can now get it at game.co.uk for 130 GBP. The standard edition costs 40 GBP over at game.co.uk and Origin will charge you 45 GBP for it. And that's just the pre-order price.

Hmm, don't trust beta leaks that much, but the detail behind this looks legit enough. Took a peak at system requirements. HD has a DVD-ROM requirement? Those requirements don't appear to be minimum, maybe minimum for everything possible in the game, such as raiding, which in my experience tends to be the most strenuous MMO feature graphics-wise. If you enjoyed KOTOR at all then the gameplay in TOR is even faster paced. If you were expecting something in the realm of the JK series speed you gotta remember this is a KOTOR series game and is an RPG first, while it does hold to the MMO familiar combat style the intensity feels much faster and the level of fun is amplified by the fact you are almost always fighting multiple mobs. Add to that the fact that every single ability has its own unique animation and combat doesn't feel as repeative as it does in standard MMO's. Basically if you've played it you won't feel like you do, and as someone who been in an early beta then more recently played it at PAX east, the game is very fun, very immersive and you feel like your part of an epic SW RPG while still be able to throw down with tons of your friends. _______________ Come on now, every Generation X boy wanted to be Luke Skywalker. Y'know, I really hate to say it but I'm torn when it comes to this game.
