So yeah, I can't say anything about kotor II since I've never played it, but kotor I's definately worth attention. I'm replaying Kotor I as well, going on the dark side path this time. I actually just reinstalled kotor I to replay it. I haven't played kotor II yet, but kotor I definately is a great game. I for one really care about the storyline in games, and kotor I's got a creative/original one.

I can tell the difference. I like them both there fun and entertaining and thats all I care about.
But every one has there own opions. But I cant wait for Star Wars Unleash thats coming out for the xbox360 and PS3. |

I wouldn't recommend downloading the patches. Most people can't even tell the difference.
KOTOR2 couldn't top KOTOR1 in some senses, but KOTOR2 is completely different from the first. KOTOR2 always feels apocalyptic and the Dark Side's all over the place. KOTOR1 is a somewhat lighter-hearted game. They're the same series, but the two have opposite themes. That said, KOTOR2 had some frustrating issues, and Obsidian managed to be able to make me talking to my party members somewhat unenjoyable (except for Kreia, whose lines are just awesome, hands down) due to the Influence system which I don't think is truly necessary. Naturally, I like being happy, not depressed and/or paranoid, and KOTOR1 set the bar really high up. Keep in mind that Obsidian was suddenly forced to release the game in time for the holidays, and the TSLRP seems to be taking its sweet time to restore the cut content. You could say that KOTOR1 was better, but that doesn't mean that KOTOR2 isn't a great game. _______________ slorp |

Yeah I do say play KOTOR 1 first. I just brought both of them today but all ready finished the first one but I never ever got around to finish the second one. Obsidian entertainment brought out a patch for the movies to make them look alot better, as well for the music. Obviously the original KOTOR (KOTOR I) first, and than the sequal KOTOR II.
It's more fun in the logical order, as you will understand the KOTOR II stuff that happened in KOTOR I. |

Taking into consideration that Kotor2 is a sequel to one of the best roleplaying games that ever existed, I think it does a very good job.
But you cannot top the storyline of Kotor1 and overall it's the better game too, of course. But this sequel is much better than many other roleplaying games in general. 1 is a better game, and 2 is a sequel, so id recommend getting one and then 2 another time becasue its a great game aswell. _______________ I was a child when I joined the JA...scary. |
