There seems to be a lot of people with questions dealing with the time settings in their profiles to get the time for classes right and such. And I've also noticed a few people make comments made in relation to the am pm 12 hour system that is used. I haven't really been keeping up with the Holocron project at all so I don't know if you guys are addressing any of the aspects of profile and knowing that the class times follow whichever GMT offset you've chosen.
I was wondering if it wouldn't be possible to add in a new choice on profiles. Not only display times in relation to your GMT offset but to also choose whether your times will be based off of the 12 or 24 hour clock system. _______________ When you are going through Hell, keep going. -Sir Winston Churchill. Even though most of the academy is american wouldnt be easier to give times in GMT or at least as EST as it would make it easier to work out times as you talk about GMT+1 etc curently its quite confusing in academy official posts _______________ The real question is not whether machines think but whether men do. I noticed that the posting of comments times did go with Daylight Savings time though. _______________ When you are going through Hell, keep going. -Sir Winston Churchill. Those who seek power and control of others, no matter the level, no matter the intentions, should never be given it. |

I've noticed a problem. Last week (sunday) the clocks went forward an hour. I assumed that all of the class times would be changed accordingly, but this wasn't the case. I'm at 0 GMT, live on the outskirts of london, so before when I had it 0 GMT it was all fine. I've had to change it to GMT +1 in order to get the right times for certain classes (zero's as thats the only one I go to on a regular basis). Went to acens CTF yesterday and his was held at the old time, so I'm a bit confused as to what to set my time at. Buzz- Thank you for mentioning this. I know I had a problem with it when I first came on as well. Bubu, thanks for picking up on it...I figured this would be in your section.
