I thought this could be an interresting topic to discuss... Do u think Dooku was sincere in inviting Obi-Wan to join him, and destroy the Sith? I personally think that he was, but that we would then either kill Obi-Wan after, or turn him to the Dark Side! _______________ Not back yet... I'll come one day, I hope... But I do not think Dooku wanted him for his phisical powers, afterall, Dooku did not even break a sweat fighting Obi-1, look at the way he fought Yoda.
The main reason I think is that Obi-1 was a well known Jedi Knight, and has a great influance on the other Jedi's. Persuade him, and more may follow. Edit: But Dooku did not wanted to destroy the Sith. It was a way of persuading Obi-1. He is now Lord Tyrannus, and his master is Sidious. And the Neimoidians followed Dooku, becouse they thought he was fighting agains Sidious, The man that betrayed them 10 years ago. And with this tactic, Sidious would always come out as a winner, becouse Dooku was leading team 1, and his master Sidous was leading team 2. he was strying to get obi to join the dark side. Therefore, he would have another jedi (dark jedi) to the ranking of the seperatists. Obi was a very powerful jedi (he barely got hurt in the first battle, and just got scraped on the arm and leg by dooku). I think also he ment it, That's the way the Sith could devide the galaxie, and if they could pursuade a important Jedi, they could devide the Jedi too. But Obi-1 could not brought to different thoughts, even when Dooku mensioned Qui-Gon.
