Hello everyone!
For thoes of you who may not know, I am Fullmetal, the captain of the CTF Squad of the JAA. I noticed it has been a while since the Aurochs have touched basis with those who might otherwise not be aware of how things are going, so I decided to post about it here 
Just so you all know, we still see a fair amount of activity in the Aurochs. The tffa squad still has matches from time to time and we still get new members. It is always nice to see a fresh face join the krew. 
Sadly, the ctf squad has been inactive a bit. (Through no fault of our own) It just seems competative CTF in JKA is dead...matches are seen from time to time but its mainly grudge matches between veteran teams. That said, take heart, while we don't play many matches, all members of the CTF squad still play often on the CTF PUG servers, itching for the chance to get a match. It is for this reason that I will not absolve the squad and wish to iterate this point: While the Aurochs do see comptetative play, the true fun of being an Auroch is the bond you build with your teammates. I have been on many, many, ctf teams before, including the best european team AND the best american team, and I can honestly I am among the happiest when I play with my Aurochs bretherin. Unfortunatly I don't have the time I used to that allowed me to hold those fun CTF sessions. However, I do hang out on IRC and MSN pretty often, and if you're ever on and want a nice friendly game just let me know and I'll see if I can arrange one. Also if you are interested in pointers/help in CTF, feel free to ask me or any of the other CTF aurochs (I'm sure the TFFA aurochs would do the same for TFFA) I am proud of the growth the players of the JAA have seen, and would love nothing more than to extend that growth to new faces.

Too bad the old old old old JKA/J0 ctf activity died back in '03/04. I'd kill to be in another match against eXc!te or Str4fe. Alas, they remain only nostalgic memories of what real CTF once was in the game. Hope you guys find some good matches somewhere, I'm sure there are plenty people that play it here and there. _______________ "Deos fortioribus adesse." |

Thanks, FM. I was wondering how well the Aurochs were doing the other day as the IRC channel seemed to be inactive, so it's good to know that they are still in action. |
