Everytime I see a good map, I think: "Wow, I wish I could make maps like this one." Unfortunatly, I can't make good maps. Actually, I can't make maps at all!  But maybe YOU can make maps...
It would be awesome if anyone would make a haunted house. You know, an old house with doors that make hard noises, candles on the wall, an organ, a graveyard (with breakeble grounds, so you can fall in a grave with an evil NPC in it...) a dungeon with lockable cells and a torture room... Maybe a control room with buttons to open a coffin with an evil NPC in it, or to open secret rooms... A second idea is the Titanic, like the Titanic in the movie, with that old red car, the restaurant, the great stairs, the white hallways, the decks with the huge yellow pipes, the big room with the engines... And not to forget: a control room to let the Titanic sink (or make the water rise) and to close the big metal doors in the engineroom and the metal fences. Cool idea, huh?

I would absolutely LOVE a map on the titanic. It should also be made to sink and go back to normal! That would be awsome. *Runs off as he watches all the masters drown* Mine.. ALL MINE... Those sound like some pretty neat ideas (even by my standards). I'm serious.
I'm a bit more fond of the Haunted House level because I'm a bit of a fan of the Resident Evil series of games, but the Titanic level sounds cool also (I like boats). Too bad I suck at making maps. I never really got into making maps for JA. I tried once and made a very simple map and I was meaning to do it again, but I never got the chance. However, now I am getting a bit into mapping but it's for a different game: Counter-Strike. Anyways, back on topic. I did a few quick searches for maps like the ones you suggested and I found a song for one of them (not a map, the song for the movie Titanic) and also I found a map called Duel Oldhouse which the reviewer originally thought was going to be scary and eventually somewhat letdown. Hmm... I don't really like that map. The ambience was poor, it didn't give me a real scary feeling. The music wasn't a song you expect in a haunted house. And it was only the inside of the haunted house.
I'm talking about a real building with some rooms in it and some hallways, a basement and a garden with a graveyard. Just a 'normal'haunted house, like in the film 'The haunted mansion'. _______________ Never trust a Jawa with red eyes... |
