no way im going to blitz my meager download limit on 1:56hrs of movie, but can someone tell me exactly what this is about and how it led masta to fit christianity/greeks/hermaphrodites/horus/krishna all in the one post. what is the movie trying to say? _______________ Brother to Luke Skywalker and (SKX) Dark Blade Lag Brother to Acey Spadey Jools is my best friend. <Henkes> nebody feeling like abusing me with a lightsaber?|+Smilykrazy grabs Gradius, beats the living CRAP out of him, then throws him into a huge vat of ACID |

The assertions in the first part of the movie are mostly based on books from the 19th century, and although as far as i can tell they arn't as widely taken seriously anymore, the ideas still seem to crop up over 100 years later.
But yeah, the author of the movie is quite guilty of using utterly absurd reductionism, and partially unverifiable/inaccurate/made up data. For one, the annual birth/rebirth of attis' is natural since he's an agrarian deity, born of a hermaphrodite (female in the latter greek versions of the myth). He eventually would be turned into violets and evergreen, after castrating himself in a fit of rage over his inability to possess cybele. The cult that promulgated this "faith" was orgiastic, so it inevitably caught the attention of the greeks. Not to mention that cybele was not only his lover, but also his mother. No birthdate given anywhere i can find. About horus, the author of the movie seems to have failed to acknowledge a great deal of very important information: Quote: This myth, as mentioned before, combines two others together. According to some sources, there were actually two gods named Horus. The first, the original Falcon, flew up at the beginning of time upon his birth. The second, son of Isis, was forced to grow up in secret for fear of Set, as described in the Delta Cycle myth. The myth of the Birth and Flight of Horus brings these two gods into one. Birth&Flight from the original hieroglyphs Not only that, but the main problem that arises is that the myth of horus the Falcon God of Kings, would actually be much more closely related to that of moses, rather than yeshua. Also, there's no "star in the east" when horus is born - he is the sun god, god of the east. Birthdate unknown since the myth precedes recorded history. The last thing i'm going to point out are the problems regarding krishna. First, he is the eight avatar (reincarnation) of vishnu, definitely not born of a virgin (vasudeva and devaki had 7 children prior to him), was kept by foster parents, fabled to have had 16,000 wives (and a flute!), and born on the eigth day of the hindu month shravana (sometime august/september). The similiarities are striking though; krishna being the blue skinned fabled slayer of dragons and monsters, came unto the mortal plane as an incarnation of vishnu because of pleas by Mother Earth to annihilate tyrannical forces. Once arrived, he was switched with a child from another village through the help of a seven-headed snake, got found by the demonness putana and ended up killing her by sucking her breast milk out. Somehow this bears no resemblance to any christian theology i am familiar with at this point in my life. Oh and, raise your hand if you actually believe yeshua was born on december 25th. Overall, i find this production to be rather lacking and not a valid source of information at all. _______________ Find out more about the Jedi Academy Aurochs here and more about Masta here!
