.pk3 is not a map format; it is a compressed archive containing files which are usually intended to be interpreted by games to produce a modification or addon. Compiled map files are often contained inside of these archives. In order to edit it, you will need a program that is able to open .zip files, as you have already discovered. You can't, unless you decompile it first. Maps are usually developed in .map (plain text) format and then compiled into the .bsp binary format. Even if you decompiled it, it wouldn't turn out very good and many people do not like their maps to be stolen and used without their permission. Quote: Whats pakskape
