Just wanted to remind everyone that the site, which is based in the US, uses a US timezone but alters it to show everything in GMT by default.

The only problem with this, however, is that the US goes into daylight savings a week to a few weeks before most europeans do. This means that for most europeans, everything temporarily shows as one hour later than it actually is and in order to correct it, they must reduce their GMT offset by 1 hour. Since I am in europe and my timezone is GMT +0, I have set my offset to GMT -1 on my profile.

Daylight savings, for those unaware, is where the clock goes ahead one hour during the summer.

This means that if you see my friday classes start at 8pm GMT, they do in fact begin at 7pm GMT.

Most europeans will go ahead one hour in just less than 2 days anyway, at which point they should set their GMT offset back to normal. Bare in mind, however, that the particular timezone I have used, GMT -1, seems to cause a glitch where some new posts don't always show as new posts.

Note: People who don't use daylight savings at all will of course need to reduce their GMT offset by 1 for the duration of the summers.

Thanks, I am from the US, but I hadn't considered daylight savings!
