New info as and when it comes out. So far the release is 11.11.11 which is easy enough to remember and approx 295 days from now. Website Worth a read Four French dudes got 2 and a half hours each on a 3 month old build. Check out the roughly translated impressions here. Skyrim is the homeland of the Nords, the original home of man. As far as I know the game is set around the death of the king which happens at the start of the game. I imagine very much like the death of the Emperor in Oblivion (Skyrim takes place around 200 years after the events of TES IV). You take the role of the last of the Dovahkiin, or Dragon Born, and its up to you to deal with a civil war and some sick dragon thing. Go here for more info: Link SO! I had an idea. How about all of us looking forward to Skyrim get together on TeamSpeak on Nov. 11th? We can chat, have a laugh and discuss our experiences as we play. Anyone wanting to play in silent for a bit is welcome to drop in and out at their leisure. I think it'd be a great excuse to chat with each other again!

i just sort of do that naturally in games where steath is possible lol. still in oblivion im not sure i liked the stealth. sure the thieves guild and dark brotherhood missions were great, but main quest was terrible to do with a stealth character.... main quest was just too painful to finish. what those ideas are? ill most likely build khajiit stealth with illusion magic school as one of the main focuses. i had pretty much the same character in oblivion and morrowind

I'm even liking the way they have added that quest tracking spell. Seems like a less obtrusive version of Fable's breadcrumb trail that makes some kind of sense within the lore of the game.
Anyone hear that story about chickens reporting crimes? Looking forward to the first mod that puts that back in the game. :p Also only just noticed that they have removed the multiple guild halls thing. I was aware the guilds had changed, but not to that extent. I like the thinking behind the idea though, allows them to make each guild location more unique. It's not as if travel between locations is a big deal anyway (usually). The loss of individual Mages guilds is worth a little mourning though I suppose. Just to clarify. Werewolves are currently NOT in the game.
Source. This doesn't mean they haven't considered it but going off track record I doubt they'll be included as DLC. Btw Mic, thanks for the Daggerfall links! i like vampires when they are done in serious way (WoD ftw), but i think vampires were done pretty badly in every elder scrolls game. like in oblivion for example, you spend so much time killing daedra that getting that fire vurnerability just doesnt really work. there is really no real advantage to become vampire. i think there is no info about skyrim vampires tho. i wonder how do they work this time. considering they bring some more interesting abilities this time around, vamps might have some cool stuff as well. also i guess it will be snowing often - blocking the sun (atleast thats how it works in games lol). _______________ playing jk3 since 30th of january (2005), member since 1st of february. Seriously though, I've played the last 2 TES games and I'm waiting to see what Skyrim adds to the experience ATM. If you fancy something to tide you over try dosBOXing the (now free) second entry to the series, Daggerfall. Then try it in this. That game was ridiculously huge. Here 'tis anyway: -AMD Phenom II x4 955 @3.20ghz -4GB RAM -1GB GTX 560 Ti -750GB WD Caviar Black HD -CORSAIR 750W Enthusiast PSU Thinking I'll SLI it down the road, boost the RAM too. Seems like this'll do the trick for the time being however. Everything sounds awesome but I would recommend, as you said, boosting that ram to 8gb if possible. As it stands there is little to no need for SLi at the moment. You won't really benefit from the cost. Wait till the number of games out that actually support SLI justify it.
