New info as and when it comes out. So far the release is 11.11.11 which is easy enough to remember and approx 295 days from now. Website Worth a read Four French dudes got 2 and a half hours each on a 3 month old build. Check out the roughly translated impressions here. Skyrim is the homeland of the Nords, the original home of man. As far as I know the game is set around the death of the king which happens at the start of the game. I imagine very much like the death of the Emperor in Oblivion (Skyrim takes place around 200 years after the events of TES IV). You take the role of the last of the Dovahkiin, or Dragon Born, and its up to you to deal with a civil war and some sick dragon thing. Go here for more info: Link SO! I had an idea. How about all of us looking forward to Skyrim get together on TeamSpeak on Nov. 11th? We can chat, have a laugh and discuss our experiences as we play. Anyone wanting to play in silent for a bit is welcome to drop in and out at their leisure. I think it'd be a great excuse to chat with each other again!

Just to clarify. Werewolves are currently NOT in the game.
Source. This doesn't mean they haven't considered it but going off track record I doubt they'll be included as DLC. Btw Mic, thanks for the Daggerfall links! i like vampires when they are done in serious way (WoD ftw), but i think vampires were done pretty badly in every elder scrolls game. like in oblivion for example, you spend so much time killing daedra that getting that fire vurnerability just doesnt really work. there is really no real advantage to become vampire. i think there is no info about skyrim vampires tho. i wonder how do they work this time. considering they bring some more interesting abilities this time around, vamps might have some cool stuff as well. also i guess it will be snowing often - blocking the sun (atleast thats how it works in games lol). _______________ playing jk3 since 30th of january (2005), member since 1st of february. Seriously though, I've played the last 2 TES games and I'm waiting to see what Skyrim adds to the experience ATM. If you fancy something to tide you over try dosBOXing the (now free) second entry to the series, Daggerfall. Then try it in this. That game was ridiculously huge. Here 'tis anyway: -AMD Phenom II x4 955 @3.20ghz -4GB RAM -1GB GTX 560 Ti -750GB WD Caviar Black HD -CORSAIR 750W Enthusiast PSU Thinking I'll SLI it down the road, boost the RAM too. Seems like this'll do the trick for the time being however. Everything sounds awesome but I would recommend, as you said, boosting that ram to 8gb if possible. As it stands there is little to no need for SLi at the moment. You won't really benefit from the cost. Wait till the number of games out that actually support SLI justify it. I do a lot of Games Design (Indie titles, uni work and map packs mostly). Which means heavy modelling, animation, level design amongst other things. I tend to use both monitors very frequently. Don't know how I lived without them before. A lot of the engines I use require some kind of reference site for the scripting not to mention oodles of tutorials. It's very convenient to have the editor/whatever running on one screen and whatever else I need on the other. Allows me to simply turn my head/eyes ever so slightly instead of alt-tabbing constantly. As for gaming with dual monitors, I agree with Monteeee. I tend to have my music playlist, or TeamSpeak running on my second monitor and my game in my first. I have a 40" telly right next to my desk for my consoles but it's far too big for a computer monitor. I just wouldn't be able to get far enough away from it!
Alex: I concur with Monteeeee (again, whodathunk?). Check around ebuyer, play.com, scan.co.uk (expect everything from cheap deals, to ridiculous rip offs), local shops and (god forbid) eBay as a last resort.
