It's pretty good so far! The developers put good effort into the game and it's an improvement in most areas....at least to me. I only played about 45 minutes of it so I can't say too much about it.
Graphics are much better, voice acting sounds much better and the combat isn't bad. A lot of customization! I don't see any major problems as of yet, except that it is a little demanding on your system. Played it for 5 minutes, saw breasts, quit. I probably will play it again at some point but this time I'll make sure I can have my speakers turned on. in first play i didnt use bombs and throwing knives at all, just so i can have a more interesting 2nd playthrough.
now.... just damn... i remember that courtyard near the gate you have to open fight in the beginning. it was quite difficult on normal... now when i know how to play AND with bombs and knives. just rofl didnt lose a single hp on hard difficulty. i guess it will hard only against bossfights and when my laptop lacks good framerate. _______________ playing jk3 since 30th of january (2005), member since 1st of february. This is one of the most enjoyable games I've played in a long time. Totally hooked on poker dice, but I swear to the gods that those npcs cheat every time. I also tend to /walk around the place simply because the environments are so beautiful and they've done an excellent job bringing it all to life.
plough 'em all! p.s. for the love of challenge, nerf rank 3 quen with +2 intensity. I play on hard and this has transformed me into a titan. Sometimes I let people hit me just so they'll activate my Quen sign, and it'll start zapping people all over the show and make things die a lot faster... and it still won't break to boot. Only one foe has proven a worthy match for rank 3 Quen, and he slung fireballs that instantly kill you if Quen isn't active. Incidentally, those fireballs also instantly destroyed Quen. i would be very interested to hear a single thing that makes da2 better. i surely hope you dont mean those countless pointless quests. please. dont forget to also write that to facebook dragon age page. youll be surprised how hated da2 is and this isnt just some 'oh its saz, he hates everything'. this is more like unfortunately in our small community there are more of those rare da2 fans than ummm.. others. besides how can experts be experts if they give the title before any other rpg is released? thats amateurish at best. also solitude, please play the game first. even opinion based things aside, witcher 2 is more succesful at things that da 2 was going for. the whole 'choices'. in da 2 most of times you were given dialog options which didnt actually mean anything. you could say 'i love you' and 'you suck, now you die' and the outcome would be the same. witcher 2 has the actual consequences. FACT. you know why im happy about this particular argument? you cant counter it. its a straight fact, anyone who finished both games could write a list and da2 would be far behind. da1 was so much better at that. so what other selling points da2 have.... like.... really? any arguments? apart from sometimes very difficult combat there is nothing in witcher 2 that would make you uninstall. and even then that is easily counterable by simply trying harder.

Unfortunately this isnt a core RPG, this is a action rpg, more on the lines of Mass Effect 2 except the combat in Mass Effect 2 is better from the get go.

I must say im enjoying it, but the combat at the start is very unresponsive, once you get block all directions it becomes alot more fun, Only played out of the first section so far, when you leave the first city via zee boat. Been busy with work so hard to sink time in to games and L.A. lol indeed it does!
i really like most of its aspects and yes like you said it really improved in pretty much every area. thank god there arent that many loadings... that just has to be mentioned first when comparing this to the witcher 1. graphics engine looks great, could be a little more optimized, but that will probably get better with patches. i like the combat, at first it seems a bit weird, maybe even too difficult. do you hear that? a 2011 game that looks too difficult? now thats rare! but after awhile combat starts making sense and then it becomes really fun. one of the most notable things in this game is... humour. it can be almost unnoticable or even make obvious jokes about other game or movie franchises. also witcher currently has the best sex scene in non-pr0n game ever made. really well made lol. so yeah... the only faults are probably potion drinking (sometimes its hard to see when is the boss fight coming and when is that last moment of peace where you can meditate and drink it all) and some interface thingies: targeting - definitely not the easiest job to select a particular target when you are attacked by 10 enemies) compass - there is none. tooltips - item tooltips scroll extremely slowly. can you notice? all of these bad thingies can be patched easily, thus... yes its a fucking great game. i wish every game would only have patchable bad thingies. i mean... how could you patch repetitive boring quests and... the whole damn story in dragon age 2 lol. so yeah currently its the best rpg of the year. skyrim (and maybe some others) might change this... _______________ playing jk3 since 30th of january (2005), member since 1st of february.
