Yeah deffo sounds like the CPU is running hot. Check airflow and try and keep it elevated on a surface if playing long periods, a couple of books either side to allow air to flow more freely etc.. _______________ If you add me to MSN, tell me who you are Best Movie Character EVER!! |

My lappy started to overheat years ago now.
I started keeping it on a raised surface (a book for example) to leave the fan exposed, keep my eye on the heat (it occasionally gets hot enough to cook off, and the fan sometimes sounds like a hellbeast) and if worse comes to worse I stick the battery in the fridge for a bit. ...Yeah my laptop either hates me by now or has stockholm syndrome, or sutin. The bad thing is I have, on numerous occasions, thought about de-dusting it as suggested below. But I keep putting it off because I never have a small enough screwdriver to hand when I remember. That is a bit hot. I agree with Solitude about the dust. Getting the dust out of there will drastically lower your temperatures. |

Might be time to check airflow and think about underclocking your CPU. _______________ "Deos fortioribus adesse." |
