This comes from the great idea Bubu came up with....if you check with the classes, you'll notice a class called "Field Trip" The idea behind it is to take the class to a certain public server and basically apply the JA attitude there in the presence of the public. I think it's a great idea, and I would be in that class already. WOULD. Unfortunately, it's at midnight over at Cali. So this is my call: I would like to ask any trainers, teachers, staff, etc. to host a "field trip" at a suitable time for people with timezones like me> I personally really want to go on one, and if someone can step up and do it at my timezone, you will have my gratitude for a long time. Also, Im' sure there are more people then me who want a field trip at time that's good for them. MoS i agree with you 100%. last class we went onto a server which, i was surprised to find out, was running a TFFA. yes i was slightly disappointed with that one too because it was just random fighting. we could have been better prepared. this was my first in the series so i wasn't really sure what to expect. in the future, this class can only get better. and any JAT who wants to hold this some other time, go right ahead, you don't need my permission  also, you don't need a JAT for this. when you're on the JA servers with some people just blurt out an IP address and off you go  _______________ make install -not war |

I'm well up for this idea, as I play on publics alot, and I do like my mindless killing, but sometimes its nice to know that theres other people in the server that you can depend upon to back you up, a friend in the server who you can chat with. From the sounds of it you guys play TFFA in that class ? Perhaps the "briefing" part of the trip, just before you leave the Classes Server, should be used to assign "medics" and "energizers". If anyone has ever played Infantry Online when it was still free to play, you would have seen the different classes available at your disposal. If you were to enter a game of CTF Extreme, you would not get far with a team of all infantries or heavies. You would have to have an Engineer to reinforce the protection of your flags, medics to ensure the safety of your allies, and of course the ever popular infiltrator, good for silent strikes or fast flag capture attempts. The point of that is... without at least some guys serving for the team rather than kill as much as you can and hope you don't get DFAd, things can get a little rough on your side. With Bubu's permission, I might be able to get something going for those who cannot make his current field trip class. We will see, just hang tight for now . _______________  Luke Skywalker

I stayed up until 1am on a school night for this class and I was a tad bit disappointed. Our guys didn't use many tactics other than DFAs and charges into groups of people. I energized the red team the whole time and didn't see much force action. Although, we had a healer who kicked ass. Also, the server lagged hardcore. Not too much we can do about that though. I would like to see more teamwork. Energize, Heal, Staying in groups, AWAY from the center. By picking off stragglers, I managed to get a 2-3:1 kill/death ratio and usually be in the top few on the team of six or seven. I dunno. I came to the Academy to get AWAY from the guys who DFA 211 times per round. Edit: I read my post and realized I sounded like a bitch.
