Hey guys what do you think about an academy tournement between members of the academy. if all different rangs go against each other then the knights or trainer would win. So if only the knights go fight against each other and all of the other rangs the same we would get a few winners and they would fight also against each other. and finaly the winner of them has got a great honor and may call himslef the  best of the academy_______________ CHICKEN |

I quite disagree with you heXen. We are talking about 170 ms, which i think is ALOT. You can basicly hit next to your opponent and actually hitting him. Over 100 ms and you begin to see "Fake Reality" as i like to call it  _______________ Do you believe I need eyes to see or ears to hear? |

170 ping for nf is alright. For guns 1v1 its a little bad but still alright, for ctf its fine. But for ff sab duel, you have a major disadvantage |

ooo i feel like slapping someone.. rawr !!! If you got modem , great ! That is you And don`t dear saying to me "It is just a game" Ive been playing the jedi knight games since the first beginning. I was playing Jedi Knight for several years with a modem, so i know the feeling. But in today`s Online World when the games are so massive it requires broadband no matter what. There is too much data going on, and if you are on a modem you will see bits and bits of what`s really going on. It is a tournament yes, but hmmm..how should i put this... Let`s say you have studied Kung Fu for 10 years, you get a request to show 200 people in Tokyo what you have accomplished in Kung Fu last 10 years. But suddenly you break your foot, do you think it would be fun performing moves then ? If i enter a tournament to fight others with a ping at 170 i will not just ruin it for myself, but i will give my opponent a BAD duel. _______________ Do you believe I need eyes to see or ears to hear? |

I know it is for fun, and i know i won`t have fun if my ping is at 170 . I will just get annoyed when people defeat me when i know i could win. And for you who says 170 aint that bad... Sure you can survive on it, but if you were to fight a person who plays just as good as you, and he is at 50 ms ...he will for sure have an great advantage, since he sees your movements before you can react to them. _______________ Do you believe I need eyes to see or ears to hear? |

First, 170 ping isn't all that bad. Second, I think there should be a tournament just for students/JAKs/JATS/Council seperately (or some approximation of that) in addition to one where everybody can participate. Third.. Sounds like a good idea. _______________ © |

But Auron we're not about who is the best. The point of the tournament would be all in good fun. Well i will not participate on these servers. I have a ping at 170 and i will get my ass kicked from those with 40 ms. That is the bitter reality of the online world. I got 2mbit but i am from Norway so the servers are waaaay long to reach, therefore i got crappy ping. _______________ Do you believe I need eyes to see or ears to hear? |

Personaly I love this idea. I know the academy has held other tournaments before, but at those times my dueling skills was less than adequate. I hope another one comes up soon as I would enter it for sure. |

Uhmm...we could have one on the same day as Prom. Someone would have to draw up brackets and all but yeah it could work. I don't think you need to separate the different ranks of the academy. Just because we are knights or above doesn't mean we are the elitest! You see, I have been whooped by many students. There is much more to rank than skill, and although I must say I am impressed with the dueling skills of many knights, trainers, and council members; There are some students I am equally impressed with  You might be surprised if you throw everyone in together. But then again, I might just win and prove myself wrong, ahahahaha...(Heh yea right, Eljeton whoops me too much!) |
