I've been looking for a master in Staff since JK3 came out... still looking... GMT+8, located on Canada's west coast. Ping to jk3home (new location) is 80-160, ping to wireplay is 100-200. I haven't been active much over the past year but that is changing quickly. I favor the n00b stick, but will play with whatever's handed to me, including guns. I also play quite a bit of JK2, mainly with yellow. I'm to be found on our servers, the BWN servers, and various Movie Battles servers early morning UTC and anytime weekends. I rarely can attend classes at their scheduled times, so I play mostly freestyle. I'm interested in learning to duel the standardized JA way, and picking up on people's personal styles. I can be reached on my profile, or at either of the e-mail addresses found on my profile. hehe i found my old "i need a master" comment here and ill tell what i actually got one but not necessarily from the post i put here. i hung out on irc and the servers alot and a friend hooked me up with mine. THANK YOU jacen aratan. be patient guys and good things will come to you. the master/padawan thing comes to those who just sort of hang out on the server at the same time as their potential masters do and is based mostly on a friendship that develops from it. so hang out and have fun on the servers with the skills you do have. the ranked members here (as i was once one) see who needs help and they watch how the person acts to know whether or not they are wasting their time on someone. until then make some friends and learn from them too. everyone here is skilled at something or another. just hang in there and good things will happen. it is worth it in the end trust me. my ja experiences have kept me here for going on two years now. have fun and stay tight.and...Burn rubber not your soul... Masters of The Jedi Academy, Greetings! I have recently joined The Jedi Academy and am looking for a skillfull master to teach me intermediate and advanced techniques in dueling and perhaps some FFA and force useage. As a player, I am friendly and respectful of others. I am very open to new concepts and ideas while being determined to seriously study and practice whatever I am taught. That being said, I am an excellent apprentice willing to learn anything and everything I can to be the best that I can be. That is my goal, and I am positive that I can come closer to reaching that goal with your help. As a duelist, I consider my dueling skill with single saber to be intermediate to advanced. However, I believe that, just as Yoda said, "Much to learn, you still have." However, I am also a quick learner. I’ve been playing for about a year now, and feel I have the basic moves down as well as the DFAs. I’m looking to better my skills in duel, FFA, and TFFA with a single saber. Better knowledge of the force light and dark, as well as saber combos in each of the single saber stances. Hello, I need a master. Im not absolutely beginner, but there is a lot of skill I still miss. Please teach me the way of force and saber duelling. Im mostly interested in a Master who is mastering the single saver fast style lunge method perfect execution and the strong style ,,start swing->jump to enemy->finish swing+hit,, method and willing to teach them to me. Ehe actually i check this thread quite often, these posts i find can tell you alot about an individual. I must admit i do prefer reading the ones who have put a little effort into explaining who they are and why exactly they want a master. No, Roan.I dont think any JAM is looking at this whilst considering to take one of these guys as a padawan.Nevertheless, i think this thread is one of the greatest ideas the JA ever had. Not only does it spare the rest of the forums from master-requests, but it also sorts the newcomers out even before they get to know anyone in here.Its a bit dissapointing to have requested a master and never have gotten an answer, even if the guy requesting understands that there is only a slight chance of getting a master. Still, the newcomers have to realize that they should put more effort to this then just posting a request on the forums and hoping that a master takes care of them.Most of the guys who have posted here and never got an answer, stopped beeing active or/and got angry because of it.This says a lot about a person imo. _______________ Find out more about the Jedi Academy Aurochs here and more about Masta here!
