Theres a strat i used in SP where i would grip someone then throw my saber at tthem, they would be utterly defensless and die instantly (most of the time) i tried this in MP and ppl called me cheap/cheater etc. But if it was built into the gam ethat you could throw while gripping i dont see why im a cheater. Comments and thoughts on it... |

I say the move is okay to do occasionally but if you constantly use it, people are obviously going to get angry, just use it when it's appropriate and you need the kill i say don't abuse it. The only scripts which actually benefit your playing are the lunge script, so you can do it instananeously perfect everytime, and the saber lock script which involves having fire x5 or something bound to one key, so for every one of your key presses, you're actually doing it 5 times the speed of a normal person. Things like the kick script, are a myth, theres no way that a script could guage the distance every time in order to kick someone first. All other scripts, like chained sequences of moves just get in your way and hinder you, as you can't interupt the script once it has started running. About cheap stuff, I wouldn't say theres anything thats cheap, theres alot of sneaky stuff which borders on being cheap, like asking someone a question just so they bring they're chat box up to reply, and you can kill em easily Stuff which is lame I can classify, forget type killing, unarmed killing, hitting when down, lightning spamming, bug exploiting and all the other stuff. What really is lame is stuff like racism, hurling abuse, blatant offensive insulting and bad attitude towards other people. Another thing would be exploiting the game in such a way that it prevents others from having fun, such as hiding on the roofs on CTF_NsStreets (warring factions) as this is not only annoying, but if the person has the flag, stops the game for EVERYONE else. Or gettting the lightsaber in jedi master mode and hiding behind the wall on the massassi level. I don't find any of the moves described cheap.... Unless they are performed with a script, witch sucks the big one. I'm ok if you go trough the trouble of pressing your grip key an grip me , press your throw key and kill me. I am not ok if you press a stupid key then I get griped and hited several times with your saber while you sit back drinking a Marguerita. I also don't think that moves like kick dfa or hitting back when you gett knocked after a saberlock. That is a part of the game, I personaly don't do it unless my opponent starts it. I mean, if you get knocked to the ground by a DFA and killed, well next time get away from that kick. If you lost the saber lock, next time click faster. I think game designers didnt think about the saber part at all  I mean, come on, what they did with the patches and stuff... i really dont think they ever though "ok, lets include the lunge to counter rDFA". i think they just put some stuff in and hoped it would work (which actually did not in the beginning)so you cant really argue if a move is fair or not. theres only one argument i agree with: they could do it theirselves btw, i hate push n pull. i just hate it. but thats because i never use thro so i cant do it myslef ^^. i love gripkick though. guess why? i always use grip! simple eh? _______________ Aeth S'kray *June 2002 +September 2003 |

Yeah MoS you damn 'move' lamer, stand still..... Grip throw isn't one I'd use often, as theres much lamer and more effective stuff you can do Throw pull kicking Grip kicking (people still reckon this move isn't meant to happen) Strafe jumping (are they nuts ?) Speed raging (yes they are nuts) Even heard one guy say that doing 3 hit heavy combos was cheating.......need I say more ? People fear and critcize what they do not understand, which is why the academy exists, to inform these unenlightened individuals.
