Has anyone heard about Eps 4-6 coming out on DVD? I've heard rumors, but nothing more. Lucas owns Star Wars. He created it. He can do anything he wants with it. I personally wish that he had not changed a thing about the original trilogy. Incidentally, in 1977 when Star Wars came out, there was more than one version even then. you guys sure,i just bought ep4-6 on dvd from e-bay.if theyre pirates ill hit the roof as for lucas screwin with classic movies,it definately shouldnt be allowed.a few years back you never even heard of them,now its directors cut this or special edition that,theyre all at it.aint he made enough money from them yet? _______________ When the doors of perception are cleansed, then we shall see things as they truly are! |

Personally, as long as it enhances the story and makes star wars better, I'm all for it. I think though, he should leave them be before he tinkers with them to the point that they are unrecognizable from the originals. _______________ Death is only the beginning. |

I agree with Buzz, and there is no logic in "upgrading" the again, it's already done. So why again?? I still remember the South Park episode about it being stupid to keep constantly updating movies. Its like the Beatles updating the White Album every year. Total and complete garbage. DC, if you're talking about that thing of filming Natalie Portman for an image while Leia talks about her mother in ROTJ, that was said to be untrue a long time ago. No no, they are coming out on DVD, but there is a catch. Once Ep 3 hits DVD, that's when George will release the original trilogy. The reason for this is that he will once again add to the Special Editions in order to tie in the new episodes more smoothly. Lucas has said it himself that the original movies were never "really finished." That all along they were his work in progress, because of the times and technology at the time, his vision could never have been fully shown until now. -DC  _______________ I build the walls that keep you within! |
