I'm moving from the news by request of massa: Recently, JumpinJedi was banned from the JA for being himself. I'm using this news post to start a petition to have him back in the Academy. Here's what JJ had to say on the matter: "First of all, and believe it or not, I actually support what the council have done. Banning me will probably do the JA some good, and sailors will probably stop blushing. I still talk to alot of the JA members, including Loaf, DJ etc, and I don't have a problem with them about this at all. I am sorry for what i've done, and I apologize to those many, MANY people i've offended and disappointed, they know who they are. I do admit I did a bad job as a JAT, but I kept alot inside, and didn't speak my mind as much as I wanted to, and when I left (kind of), I simply let go with everything I bottled up. I've been punished for my actions, I deserved it, and I accept that. By the way, thanks to Buzz for letting me post this. Oh yeah - There's now a place open in the JA prom. I'm the one that closed his account. There's a fine line you walk between being someone's friend and being the "boss". I'd like to think that I'm friends w/ JJ (and still hopefully am). But no matter how much I like the guy I can't have him going around insulting people like he does. We've given him numerous numerous chances. He's been kicked out at lease 3 times and demoted who knows how many times. He keeps coming back because he *is* a likeable guy, and since I'm nice to the point of being the pushover JAC I let him back in. As doobie said in his recent news post things are a little tense around here, and us JA'ers need to respect one another. JJ is an independent guy, and speaks his mind. I can appreciate that, but not when it makes bad situations worse or at the expense of another JA member making the JACs go into super damage control mode. JJ: If you're reading this.
