No... As ObiWan in ep4 told Luke: "Darth Vader betrayed and murdered ur father. He helped destroy the Jedi" and much more. So Anakin was the one who destroyed the Jedi Temple; with or w/o the help of Palpatine (probably with).  I watched ep4 again yesterday.. Maybe Palpatine will lure Boba Fett into blowing up the Jedi Temple (although he's only like 14 years old or so)! You know, so that he would spare some trouble! I don't think ep3 will be a letdown. The story _must_ be cool, or Lucas will seem to have lost his SW talent! I think/hope it will include: 1) ObiWan VS Anakin battle 2) The destruction of the Jedi Council (maybe by the Sith) 3) Someone will kill Count Douku  4) We will see Chancellor Palpatine (who is Darth Sidious) become Emperor Palpatine( ) 5) Luke and Leia will be born and other things. I think the story _has_ to be cool. Just look at those factors. cmad_x PS. I especially like the 2nd one because I esp. admire the Dark Side: all the cool and nice guys are over there. i mostly agree with u  obi DID suck bigtime in ep2, and that wasn't good. I hated ep1 more, though.. the saber stuff was cool, but the movie was way too much children crap....jar jar.....ugh ....Edit: 2 secs with Jar Jar is 1,9 secs too much, he was fun, but that sucked This comment was edited by Rampage on May 28 2003 01:23pm. |

Ok, here it is: The originals are the best. There are few who contend this fact. However, EP1 did have the best saber fight which most would agree are the pivotal crescendo of each movie. W/O them the movies would be lackluster at best. EP2, in my opinion, was a horrendous flop in which the worst scene would have to be the cheesy, sloppy fireplace scene where Hadyn Christiansen showed just what kind of an actor he is and isn't. And on that same note, (many will disagree with me here) Lucas failed his fans when he butchered the saber fight. Yes, yes, yoda was cool but what the hell happened to the skill of Obi-wan?! In 10 years he went from kickin' Maul's @$$ all over the place to gettin' own3d by a geezer? (Yes, I do realize Count Dooku is very powerful but the saber fight was too unrealistically easy for Dooku.) I say all of this to mention this about EP3: they will have to pull off something amazing to 1)make up for EP2 2) tie all the stories together. That second one will be the most difficult to do within the two hour time limit that Lucas continues to set. _______________ Fact of the day: In New York City, rats bite about 311 people in an average year. Yup, I think so. I've lost my beleive in George Lucas after what he did with the EU and SW in general  But it will be amazing to see all the jedi fight and die  Well, *if* we'll see it, because I couldnt really understand the saber fights in EPII. well, my opinion about the star wars is that the old ones r extremely better because of the better story and more characterized protagonists. I have to say i enjoyed ep1 and 2, but characters were a bit flat and they had probs with times in the story, who were sometimes fast and sometimes real slow. anyway there were great saber fights, and i think we should thank those episodes if JKII combats r that cool  _______________ PEACE LOVE AND THE UNIVERSE, Krus |

Episode I had some irrealistic story content. But cool saber fights and the first "real" Jedi tricks, that wasn't much in the old ones. Episode II has way too many focus on love and the story is far too "to the point", you've got to see it 3 times before you really understand all the links. But very cool battles and saber fights. Episode III will be a final and a beginning in one, the end of the Republic, of Anakin as Anakin (he'll turn into Vader), of the Jedi Order, but the beginning of the story of the old trilogy, the beginning of the Empire, the stormtroopers, the Sith. I think the story is pretty much already prescribed by Episode II and Episode IV, so George better make it fit well for I'm not taking a story as Episode I again Episode IV is my favorite, the REAL Star Wars. Episode V is good as well, I really like the Luke 'n Vader part. i think phantom menace was really disappointing but AOTC was very entertaining.Very interesting buzz,i never thought about it before but the original trilogy and the sequels are indeed very similar in plot.lets hope lucas pulls something unexpected out of his hat for the third although somehow i doubt it. _______________ When the doors of perception are cleansed, then we shall see things as they truly are!
