Hey i just thought like asking you all,whats youre favorite SW character of all time? for non-movie charachters it is tough. i like Jacen Solo because he shows judgment honor, and attempts to do what is ultimitly the best thing. for charachter development i used to like Mara Jade, i think Zhan did an excelent job making a perfect foil for Luke, however the more of her i read from less prestigious writers the more the charachter seems to be ruined. Thrawn is also a long time favorite (like you couldnt guess) i think he is charachterized well (among other things) and doesnt isnt as easily screwed up by other writers.
As for the movies im not sure, although Yoda is definetly at the top. i also like mce windu (although the should have played up the significance of his killing of Jango). ::edit:: i completly forgot about Wedge and Corran (how did i forget a whole series of books?:confused  . althought they have the potential to be messed up by poor writers they have remained somewhat unscathed. and of course wedge leaving luke in the trench, that my friend is faith in the force from a non-jedi to a new jedi, a real act of will. Mace Windu, hes so bad ass when he says his "THIS PARTIES OVA!" _______________ Come on now, every Generation X boy wanted to be Luke Skywalker. Is it because he was a whiney farm boy from some backwater hack planet? No, it's because he was a FREAKING JEDI. He could block lasers with his lightsaber. He could levitate droids & rocks & crap with his mind. Come on, he choked two pig dudes with just a simple gesture. He cut off Darth Vader's hand and kicked him down a flight of stairs. He got his @$$ zapped by lightning from the geezer Emperor, stood up and said "s'at all you got b!tc#??" |

Seems like I have read more than most others.
I like Ulic Qel-Droma. I hear different recollections of him, but here's why I like him: He was an honorable Knight, who had the Sith try to get him to turn. He resisted (yay!). But they used a Sith toxin to turn him to the dark side, and he became one of th most powerful Sith Lords ever. However, after the great Sith War, Ulic's brother Cay and other Jedi captured Ulic. Although Cay spoke for Ulic's defense, Ulic was still corrupted by the poison still in him. It controlled his actions, and in a confrontation between Cay and Ulic, Ulic struck down Cay. As Ulic held his brother in his unbelieving arms, Ulic gave up his Force powers, everything. I believe he went to live on an ice planet, maybe Hoth. Anyways, he was later convinced to take back his powers and train another Jedi, but was shot in the back by some pirate trying to make a quick buck. So I just like his story. Hence why I am Ulic. _______________ Jedi do not fight for peace. That's only a slogan, and is as misleading as slogans always are. Jedi fight for civilization, because only civilization creates peace. |
