ok, people, I am unhappy about something, that has been happening alot latley: My tactic, has been made fun of....mocked....ect....for a while now, people have been saying, stop jumping so much, now people, understand, saying Stop Jumping, is like saying Stop swinging your saber around, so I can hit you! I dont mind you trying to give me some helpful hints, but to mock and make fun of me........what is this place coming to  So please, from now on, unless you have something helpful to say about how I play, keep it to yourself, I really dont want to hear it, because it ruins my day _______________ |

Even though I disagree with your tactic of bunny-hopping to avoid damage ....I have to say that I agree with you. It's a very valid tactic in dueling, and it is the responsiblity of your opponent to know how to counter it. But let me warn you...if you happen to duel me and try that tactic, you're gonna lose...although it's true that you can change direction mid-jump, you still land in the same general area where one might anticipate...say, and RDFA....::grins:: _______________ memento mori |

Remember what they taught you playing baseball: To catch a fly ball, watch it go up, get a good idea of where you think it's going to land, then run over there as fast as you can. Same thing with someone who jumps a lot. Of course, we use the Force and so can change directions in mid-jump, so I've never had a problem with anyone being able to predict my landing spot and carve me as I land, but it's still something to keep in mind. _______________ My signature is only one line. How is it mocking when i tell you that i dont think the jumping is effective, i was just trying to help. I mean, a good duelist will know where you will land and counter, i used lunge, someone else might use an overhead swing which will be painful. I didnt mock you, just gave you a hint. Yeah, i started jumping like that,(2 or 3 times?) just to see if it might work, i didnt even say a word. yes, I try not to be annoying, but I NEVER run away, I use it to first see where they are going, if they are swinging, then I come in, swing, and then jump away, its what I do, and usually, they get annoyed () and start to mess up, then it makes it that much easier..... _______________ |

Not nice to mock you. As Dj said, take a screen or tell a JAK/JAT around. On the other hand, I admit, jumping *can* be very annoying. I have faced situations when my enemy did nothing but jumping in order to not get hit. Personally I dislike this tactis, as the purpose of a duel is not to avoid to get killed but to kill the other. Why duel when you run away anyway? I have no idea if this applies to you because sadly we haven't met yet. My advice to everybody complaining about that strategy is: Either fo it youself ( ) or just stand still doing nothing. The Other one will get bored after some time. Pay no attention to what those types of people say when you duel them. They're just getting mad cause they can't kill you right away. Let them get mad. They get mad then stupid and then they die. You should take a few lessons from Acey he's a pro at that style.
