Right now (9:14 -8 timezone) there is an imposter posing as DJ Sith. He is killing unarmed people, and using massive amounts of guns inside the temple. After many attempts at getting him to calm down and just speak with us he still refused and continued his kill spree. This message is just to inform the JATS and to ask any others if they have any information on this event. Thank You |

Freedon, I think it would be nice to do that, but again, that since he has dynamic IP, and just gives up false IP's I dont know we could get his REAL IP, but, I think Dances Idea, along with your idea, would be a very good way to go about it. _______________ |

The Academy may have to initiate a registration for all members that would require a response email with a verifiied ISP account or something similar- I doubt that would be practical though. the only thing I can think of is to use NeoTrace and run through the dynamic IPs next time they log on and go through a killing spree. this would also be time consuming and probably not practical. Seems like the best strategy so far is to inform the members and create solidarity by having folks go into duel mode or spectator until the imposter gets bored. Yes, what Fizz said is correct about Dynamic IP, but, even if we found out his account here at the JA, he could just make another, and get the passwords again, thats the bad part  _______________ |

Unfortunately we had great problems with getting a JAK and the lamer was long gone (at least we think) when we finally got Dice in there. This is a problem, if we can't get him when he is there we have trouble, I am mostly concerned with the poor new students who might visit the server for the first or second time. |

Yes, I did get a chance to scan with some programs I have, and from the looks of it, he wasnt lying to me, when he said he had Dynamic IP, so, there really is no way to stop him.... _______________ This comment was edited by Katan on May 28 2003 07:22pm. |

I also wanted to add, that sometimes he lames, just comes on, and immediatly lames, other times (after someone kicks him) he comes back, and does some duels, acts like a good person, follows the rules, and everything, then, you start to think, it isnt him, and he lames you, just thought I would pass this bit of info on.  _______________ |
