Hello all. I don't speak out much, but something I feel is necessary to discuss. I am at the academy with out fail just about everyday. I have developed some fantastic friends. Alot of you know me alot of you don't. When I first joined the Academy, I think the biggest draw for me to be there was the fact that everyone had an appropriate level of respect for each other and everyone seemed to be there to have fun and grow as people by learning from others. I know that is the reason i joined and keep coming back. However, in recent weeks, it seems as though more and more people are getting frustrated alot more, arrogant, swearing in anger, downgrading others. I spoke with a young paddie the other day that felt the Academy was a joke, "A place for people to show off." Of course I told him that the Academy was a wonderful place with wonderful people and to brush it off and to keep coming back. I asked him please dont judge the academy by the failures of one or two students. Never put your faith in man, cause you will be let down everytime. I have not seen him since and he will not answer my emails. Kind of makes me sick. I know you guys, this is a long post and kind of serious. Those of you who know me, know I am not anal or anything and I am just here to have fun and help people. I just want to remind everyone, the reason most people, especially new paddies, come here instead of public servers is because they know they should not have to deal with LAMERS and ARROGANCE at the Jedi Academy. We just need to make sure we preserve our home and not jeapordize the integrity of the JA because we are having a bad night. If we can't handle that, we should take a breather and not be a negative influence on our fellow students and ESPECIALLY the new students. HUMBLENESS, Ladies and Gentleman is the name of the game. Yes please please if you see folks acting rude or otherwise bad on the servers get a screenshot of it *with your console open* so we can get the guy to calm down or act right. We like the console open because it gives us a glimpse of the conversation on the server at the time. Thanks! _______________ My car is made of Nerf. |

Not bad Darth. It was getting about time for another one of these. The things you mention about arrogance and all that tends to come around in spurts. Usually you get a whole bunch of complaints and problems all brought up at once and someone saying that the place is going down the toilet. It seems that its about a 3-4 month cycle. And you can't consider it "Tattling" to report someone here. If you see a guy getting mugged or beat up in the street are you going to be called a tattle tail for shouting for help or calling the police? NO. If someone is breaking the law or a rule then they deserve to be reported. Tattling is when a little kid tells the teacher that little bobby is talking to loud. The reports are meant to try and correct their behavior, that's why in almost all situations you get two warnings. If you receive that second warning then you will be banned. The rules are right on the page so its not exactly like they can claim that they didn't know. _______________ When you are going through Hell, keep going. -Sir Winston Churchill. I know your thirsty for blood Monty and I deeply appreciate your stance. But, the idea is not to, "TATTLE" on people. The idea is to correct a behavior, not the person. The "Person" will eventually reap what he sows. The Goal of this post was to just bring a little thought to the front of everyones mind, making them remember why the joined the Academy and what Standard and Example WE ALL should set. I am guilty of ill behavior sometimes too. So, I will "TATTLE" on my self, but that will be it. -DM- _______________ One Day, it will all end. good speech, howeva there is a flaw that doesnt help, people need to tell us the names of the so called people doin this otherwise they wont be sorted unless we see them on the servers, if u see someone breaking the rules, take a screenie and tell one of us JAK or JAT or even JAC if u see them about, theres normally 1 of either on the IRC chat applet. incase u dont know bind <key> screenshot ........ no excuses now! I blame this on lack of communication between students and Ranked personel! plz people we cant punish people for something we dont know they done! so get them screenshots in to us and we will make sure we will rid the JA of LAMERS and scumbags! together we can make this place ALL GOOD within reason thx carry on! _______________ If you add me to MSN, tell me who you are

I have only been here a month and a half but in the last two weeks I have noticed people type killing and other things.
