It just hit me. Remember Yoda saying that falling to the dark side will forever cloud your destiny? So Anakin was destined to be the first one to put the Force into balance. That means that he was the first one too actually come back from the dark side to the light. Luke later did the same with the help of Leia(EU). So that was Anakins destiny, to bring the Force to balance, to make the light the same strength as the dark, so u can change sides. Vaughn, what I said completely comes from George Lucas. As for using the word balance, I don't see yet how that is accurate since we don't fully understand what the "balance" means. So far, everyone assumes that bringing the force back into balance means having both dark and light equality. George says other wise. Don't know why...but I am not questioning the man. Hopefully that and the Jedi's disappearing questions will be answered in the next film. _______________ Get busy living, or get busy dying. |

but if you guys look at the question of the thread "Why is Anakin the Chosen One" your answers don't answer that question. Only three answers to why is Anakin the chosen one. 1. Propaganda. 2. I think the balance works like that in SW not in EU: There can be only 2 sith in the WHOLE UNIVERSE, the Master (Sidious) and the Apprentice (Maul, Dooku, Vader etc....). But there can be more Jedi's. If a balance needs to be then there as to be 2 VERY POWERFUL siths (Sidious just ownz and Vader too) to fight the Order of the Jedis but remember the allys of the Siths (army and reborns and all) aren't siths they are just puppets and therefore don't count as siths. So what anakin probably wanted to do is to bring balance to the force by switching to the dark side and eleminating all the Jedis and the rest of the siths including him. But before he was killed by Luke he filled him with hate, hate against the Emperor Palpatine. So Luke being a Jedi and for a Jedi being filled with hate is a step toward the dark side so dark comes inside of Luke so hes a part of dark sider and a part of light sider. Not completely good or bad. The light brings balance to the dark as the dark brings the balance to the light. Anankin is the chosen one to bring balance into the Force. So if Luke is part dark/light hes the balance. So by bringing Luke to life and by filling him with anger he fulfilled his destiny of being the chosen one because he brought balance into the force: One who can fight all-->Luke My opinion <--Nova--> _______________ Stop with the stupid sigs would you? This is how i sense it would be! And yes, i am strong in the Force, and actually George Lucas' dad, so dont argue! First a question: How is it balance if you have the Dark Side being so strong that the Emperor can forsee stuff more than 30 years ahead, and a group of Jedi's cant even sense ONE Darksider when they are in the same room! Balance in the real world wouldnt mean that there would be as many heroes as terrorists (especially if the terrorists had nukes, and the heroes only had knives, which would be somewhat equal in comparison)! Balance would be when there is no disturbances in the Force (Obi-Wan when the DeathStar is first used= "I sense a great disturbance in the Force" ! The Dark Side creates disturbance! The Light Side doesnt! Jar-Jar Binks does!EDIT: Oh yeah, Anakin fits in like this: He was the one who removed the Sith (and thereby the disturbances (wonder if he killed Jar-Jar ))! Only, Anakin did this in sort of a special way! He became a Sith himself (causing disturbance), removed most the Jedi's (even more disturbance now) and lastly removed the last Sith (removed the disturbances), which no-one else could!End of discussion on my part! _______________ Not back yet... and here we've come full circle again..heh.. round and round we go where we stop no one will know. if light = darks or light consumes the dark but whereever you look where there is no light there shall be dark. as even teh brightest of lights can lead into darkness. Anakin sought to do what was right wanting no one to suffer but in aiming for that he caused much suffering in the process. but perhaps we should look at the profecy and not the people. how did it originate. did yoda have a dream or spend too much time in the cantina who can truly know and....er..where am i?? _______________ .Lag Bro to Xanatos. Actually, I went to star wars weekend at MGM Studios a few days ago. There was a behind the Star Wars Saga thing. Here is what Lucas had to say. "Anakin fulfilled the prophecy by eliminating the last of the Sith" So I guess that is what he meant by bringing the Force into balance. _______________ Get busy living, or get busy dying. |
