Okay about time I edited this thread after 1/2 year of life. Can you imagine SW if there was only the Dark or the Light side??? It would *definitely* _STINK_! However, which is more powerful? I think it's the Dark Side: => More Jedi fall to the d/s than Sith/Dark Jedi go to the l/s (MANY more) => Look at the duels (in the movies). You see the Sith being calm (prolly fighting more than one Jedi) and the Jedi being ready to shit on themselves  => The d/s force powers are offensive (used to kill  ) whereas the l/s force powers are defensive. And we all know the best defense is offense  => NORMALLY, when some Jedi fights a Sith the Sith has the Force Power advantage. Not many Jedi can absorb D/S Force Powers. They must be really trained, and that's unusual. OK Yoda is the force beast (I mean he handles the force like no-one else can, hmm, maybe like Palpatine, just maybe, but prolly a bit more) so he was really cool defending against Dooku's force powers. But, see, Dooku was less trained than Yoda in the Force and still he could attack him alright without losing (lightsaber fight is something else, not concerning the Force Sides). So as you can see less trained D/Sers can beat the hell outta a Jedi using the force alone  (don't include Yoda eh)=> And well, after seeing the movies, haven't you noticed how much cooler the Sith are than the Jedi?  ******BTW: Who wants to see a Yoda VS Palpatine fight on ep3!!!???****** _______________ Your friends of today, are your enemies of tomorrow. You see it when you plays Jedi Knight too. Dark Force can be useless against light force if the person using LF is good at wielding it. The Dark Side has more powrerful ?ofensife?(how do you spell that) powers, if I think about it, it HAS the ofensive powers. I think that the D/S is slightly more powerful, and easier to use. look at all the decent duels. Qui-Gon gets owned. Obi gets angry. Obi owns Maul. Anger, d/s Obi-Wan gets owned. Anakin gets angry (well sort of) Anakin gets owned too. (bad example) well in Ep 6 Luke is like, uber rage/ angry/ acting queer, when he defeats Vader. I conclude that the d/s is more powerful, because it is easier, whereas a fully traning jedi master, such as Yoda owns the sith. -Aiden |

Aight, I am gonna reach into the left field machine here, but since the dark side and light side must be in balance, and there are a crap load of light jedi, and far less on the dark side, for them to be equal in over all amount, the average darkside user will have far more force access, also I think the Light siders can use the force offensively, they just choose not to, except maybe lighting, like when luke crushed the at at in some comic. One must also remember that the sith are trained for much longer, much better, jedi were trained in groups, sith one on one, so they get more attention, so really it depends on the numbers on each side and the training behind them. _______________ Using no way as way. Each force user has there own potential, the pinnacle of power they can reach, nobody can go beyond their limit, and the limit is different for each person. The reason that many dark side users are more powerful than light side users is that they reach their potential much easier, because they no longer practice the restraint that light side users do. But any light side user can reach their full potential if they have the wisdom to do so. For example, Master Yoda, Master Windu, and Luke have all reached their full pontential because of their will to do so. So it is not based on light side or dark side, but rather the person, and basically, the strength of their minds. I think the dark side is easier to learn then the light not many jedi can absorb dark force, only yoda I know about whereas the sith way is easier to learn _______________ |
