HeY i had a fun time and the Stars with the exploding earth out front were cool i wathched that stuff 4 awhile... (woulda been a great place 4 duals)   maybe we can put it in the rotation for sleepyd's dojo (just an idea) over all i think it was a succsess and the map was pretty tight. i would comment on scale but others have done so already... good work ppl  _______________ NONE SHALL PASS He welds the blade of a FalleN HerO, but now he is the HerO, and it is others who shall FALL.... This rocked and how did it rock! ive got some class pics oh one thing or two mabey more lifts and a cople of small side rooms,oh and dont lock up the dj booth thatll just make it imposssible to use otherwise(without tele).Oh and dont do it too often only VERY special occassions if you do it to often itll be spoiled _______________ The real question is not whether machines think but whether men do. another thing about the random dances, i say hold them in all time zones so that everyone can have one, so like one in a decent hour for every region of the world. So like 12 noon CST, and then all of US could hit it because everyone would be within 2-3 hours of 12 so it wouldn't be to late or to early. Also hold one at like 12 noon GMT so ppl in that area can get to it, know what i'm sayin? _______________ Dicemaster |

The Prom lasted 3 Hours. I was able to stay for the whole event. I had a great time dancing. I hope you all liked the kissing. Remember it was just for fun. Someone 'spiked' the punch. That's what made me do it. Yeah, that's it. That's my story and I'm sticking with it.hehe P.S. I had no problems with the frame rate or the ping. I was lucky. um.......I think that with this great map, instead of doing an offical prom, just every now and then, like once every 3-4 weeks open up the "Prom server" and have dances it would be fun and hold the prom once a year or something like that it would be cool _______________ Dicemaster This comment was edited by Dicemaster on Jun 01 2003 07:14pm. |

Hello all!!!! I loved the prom. It was really fun. I wish I could have stayed for the entire thing but stupid real life gets in the way!!!! The only thing that kinda got to me after a while was the same songs over and over again. After 2 hours it kinda got on my nerves a little. And I got kissed by almost everone there!!! I dont think Koyi will be to happy about that one! =) The prom was really cool. Thank you to everyone who made this prom possible. Thats one great thing about the JA. People here actually care about other people, enough so to put so much time and effort into a prom for all of us to enjoy. I can not even imagine how much time and energy went into this thing. Guys, framerate issues?? The map was as simple as it could get, so there would be no framerate issues. ahhhh prom. it kinda reminded me of my real prom. one giant cluster f*** of people and me being bored in the corner. i left an hour and a half into it because i had stuff to do, so i hope everyone else had a good time with the last half of it. im sure thats when all the real fun stuff happened. _______________ "We keep odd hours...." ----------------------- They Live, We Sleep |

I agree, it could have gone on for much longer and needed a bit more... all people did was A) run around using the amkiss and amhug emotes on any and every female skin there was. B) run around the map annoying people c) some people did use the dance floor, but not much. I got myself a few screenshots during it and a good group pictures..i'll post them up soonish.. also a few more things - the bar was a bit high, how about one waist height instead of shoulder height. and another thing..it appeared too open.. if you only wanted certain people in the DJ booth, perhaps there shouldn't have been a door into it that anyone could open. perhaps it needs to be closed up and people can then teleport into it also i got a few good ideas which you could use in the next one, which gets people doing more stuff around the place. seek me out on IRC or the servers and i'll share more _______________ .Lag Bro to Xanatos. I liked the fact that the lift didn't whisk you straight upstairs in the wink of an eye. It made entering the dance hall seem like more of an ocasion. If we played on this map all the time it would be annoying, but I thought it was a nice touch for prom. I loved it! My only critique is that I thought the map had framerate issues. _______________ My signature is only one line. You're welcome. |

Well, the Prom was great! On the positive side, the entrance to the dance was killer (I loved the music just begins to play when you step onto the platform!). The bartender(s) were also awesome, great job with the orders and all. Design was okay, could have used some improvement. For instance, the dance floor was cool, but it just didn't look enough like a disco. Also, you could see some glitches here and there. Also, the lift to the Prom floor was a :;coughs:: slow. Other than that, I just wish the prom would have gone longer, rather than only one hour. It was a great first dance, and I think it'll only get better as the JA goes on. that's my opinion, at least. Also, I think the files to download were a bit too much, and who really will go through the time to dl all of it? But props to SilkMonkey, Johnny-Rico, and everyone who was involved with this. You guys managed to pull it off, and I think you guys should get a round of applause and all for all your hard work and time. I'm looking forward to next year's! _______________ memento mori |
