Jake, I ment it in the interest of how to win. My goal with my Apdawans is for them will be better than I am and have fun. And everyone has there own type of potential, not everyone can be the best, And it comes to a certian point where you cannot go any further as far as skill in JK2(JK2 meaning dueling, CTF, ect.) Yah teach yourself is best, unless you are in a hurry. Only use masters for advanced stuff that is widely known. You can also learn a lot by just playing by yourself and gaining experience in each type of game style and discover cool moves and tricks that you can teach others. _______________ JiM |

I agree with Master Windu, about each Master has his/her own way to teach his/her Padawan. That's what seperates learning from a random fellow student from being traing by a master. But I also agree with Silk. Personally, the only reason why I'd look for a master is to work on some very advanced stuff, like combos and all. You can learn a lot just by goin on the servers and asking for help. _______________ memento mori |

But surely you'd judge their mistkaes by your standards ? So for example, if you said they were doing something wrong, thats because you think it is wrong, doesn't mean it is I teach my training buddies how to win and show them what works, I DO NOT teach them how to play. I let them learn for themselves how to play, ie recommend them to play on public servers before they commit to solely playing on the JA ones. This is so they can learn every element of the game and thus become a more well rounded player. Basically, the way I see it, train someone in the moves and tactics, but leave them to make up their own strategies. This is how their own unique style is developed. Everyone uses pretty much the same moves, this is because theres a limit in the game to how many moves there are, so obviously people will use the moves that work. The way people have different styles is deciding WHEN to use the moves, what sequences, what circumstances, what situations. Remember guys, every Master has their own way of training there padawans, official or un-official. When my apdawans do good, I tell them. Motivation is key. I don't like to be negative or look at what they are doing wrong all the time, I like to let them firgure it out on there own if they are doing something wrong. Whether it be dueling, gunning ect.,when a person can firgure out what they are doing wrong, it can be a very powerful skill. Anyway, but if it gets to the point where it seems like my apdawans don't know what they are doing wrong,(that is if they are doing something wrong) I tell them. It is ok is you need a Master. Having a Master is not the same as being taught by a fellow student. That doesn't mean aa student cannot help you, but having a Master, you get instruction everytime you see him, depending on how he/she teaches, I am always telling my Apdawans(un-official padawans)what they are doing wrong.
