I couldnt agree with ChosenOne more on this one. When you get a power mad admin and a group of his laddish mates on a server that allows cheating, things can quickly degenerate into (unfunny) chaos. Recently on a server I frequent (dont want to mention any names as the issue seems to have been resolved now), we were having a nice saber only, NF FFA, when 3 of these idiots teleported inside a part of the map and loaded up on hardware. They just started plugging everyone with missles/disruptor fire. The JA Mod for JK:JA will be much different from the JA Mod you see today. None of the slapping, punish, bunny, or other crap like that will be allowed in it. Especially empower or terminator. Both are strong attributes that caused lot of havoc to the JK2 community. If anything, I would make those gametypes or where as if 1 person is empowered or terminator, others will be as well. None of this cheating nonsense ever again... In other news, feel free to post ideas that you would like to see in the mod. As far fetched as they may seem, listing them here would be a great place to start brainstorming. _______________ Get busy living, or get busy dying. All the JAK, JAT, and JAC's will receive rcon until a mod is developed. It shouldnt take long to port everything over once Raven releases the SDK. Once, we have control back and learn more about the game. This forum has just made me think of quite an important factor we have to consider for JK:JA. No admin mod . which in turn, means no Academy mod. It'll be a few months before mod teams get going on maps, skins and mods. This means that until then it'll most likely be like 'vanilla' JKII was, where whatever health you have going into a duel is what you keep. This also means no admin commands, so the servers can run lawless unless the Jat's and JAK's are given Rcon so they can kick people. *pssst* Wrong forum. It has been up before but that would require people to download the mod so that it would be clientside instead of serverside, which was the idea for it all the way (to be serverside that is). |
