I joined the Home Server then Acey joined the server and then I rolled outside and I got tripped by Acey because somebody mined the door and disconnected. If somebody plants mines then leaves the server, a new person claims them, so anyway, Acey didn't plant them. So somebody planted the mines by the courtyard door and left the server. I think we can all agree based on our experiences dealing with the various patches Raven released for JK2 that nerfing a feature does way more harm than good. I'd like to leave trip mines in the levels as they *do* have legitimate uses. I'll need to see how mine placement is put into the logs. Maybe I can write a script that goes through the logs and looks for repeated spamming of trip mines and can email me the guys name.. *shrug* _______________ My car is made of Nerf. |

I think I read through the rules briefly once, but you don't really need to know them in depth as the rules are mainly common sense. If people can't act responsibly and they act the fool and spoil others fun, then they should be banned in my opinion none of this give them a warning stuff cause it never works and the person just does it again. _______________ You swing too hard, ass. There's not much you can do about it. I usually try not to get all stressed when I get killed by a mine. Just respawn and watch out for those nasty blue thingies  |

hmm..perhaps not take them out cause i have my own fun with mines..within the rules of course...perhaps a part of the mod could be added that if someone lays down mines or detpacks, they auto destruct when they disconnect _______________ .Lag Bro to Xanatos. I STRONGLY disagree Ruuk. Just because most people duel, it doesn't mean we don't have gunners here, or people that want to learn and have fun with guns. Us FFA's only have a small area, the outside, whilst duelers have the whole map. Some people still choose to duel outside, sometimes even when a ffa is taking place, this just seem kind of selfish to me. If we're teaching people the game here and training, we need everything thats IN the game. Persoanlly I hardly ever use trips in academy FFA's, but I use them alot for self training in movement and accuracy, making targets and assault courses when i'm on my own. How would the duelers like it if we said "take out blue stance, its used every now and then but its a pain". I know we couldn't physically remove light stance unless everyone downloaded a mod, but its the same principle. Can I just ask a stupid question here? Don't ya'll think the whole problem could be solved by deleting mines from the map inventory? Who the he** uses them when they're playing the da** game properly anyway? If you wanna play with mines during CTF, can't you jump on some other server? it still happens but if there no knights or nything about theres not much you could do. Most people don't do it on purpose, and I know we've had this discussion over and over, but I'll jsut say this to put it to rest. If someone breaks ANY of the rules, the very LAST resort is to report them. 9 times out of 10 they didn't know or just forgot. In this situation you don't need even a knight. just use your common sense and your authority (yes we all have authority, its called equal rights and right to free speach ) and tell them where they've gone wrong.By not reporting, you save yourself doing an e-mail, you save whispy doig extra work, and you save some poor guy who hasn't a clue whats going on from getting in trouble. _______________ Apprenctice of Jedi Master Ascari (deceased) Descended from a line of great Jedi Will argue any point of view from any side

something like that happened to me. i just joined and about a minute later it said i tripped some1, when i wasnt even outside yet  _______________ if at first you dont succeed, try and try again. if you still dont succeed, youve just wasted a whole lot of time trying something you just cant do
