Um, can I just say something to everyone? *steps on soapbox* THIS is exactly the reason why I'm pushing for something like what Aeth wrote, as well as Mune's subsection to the Holocron project: "JK2 for Dummies." (You'll be able to read it when we release.) A very simple, keystroke by keystroke (virtually) handholding through the entire process of getting someone up and running. Without (no offense, dude) without these repeated, though understandible, posts. *steps off soapbox* *walks away* *walks back* btw, could you engage the text wrapping on your profile for us all? You can join a class without enrolling, but only if the teacher is okay with it. He don't want you there (mostly they don't have a problem with it) then just leave. Simple as that. |

Yeah, first of all keep cool... You can get the map here: http://www.thejediacademy.net/files/jedi_academy_v4.zip Make sure you got the correct password for class server. Look for it here: http://www.thejediacademy.net/servers_detail.php?f_id=8 If it isnt shown there, make sure you have loged in. You would see a "Log in" Button on the left menu of the website. After downloading the map and install it by following the readme's instructions. (put jedi_academyv4.pk3 in your jk/base folder) Now, note down the IP of your class server, double check password, watch for spelling and open jk2. Go to Muliplayer- "Join Game" - "Add Favourite" -enter IP Now at the top of your screen, above the serverlist are various options. Make sure they look like this: The one at top left (I think "Server" or something like that) should show: Favourites Game: All Mode: All Show empty: Yes Show full: Yes Click "Get server list" Click "Refresh" Double click on the server. Type the password EXACTLY as it's written on the site, and notice how some letters might be signs instead of actual letters. |
