I like all different games. I kinda get in different moods. Well I just played the demo of Neverwinter Nights and I must say it looks really good, but you have to read alot through dialogues etc. The game looks very complicated to me too, but I would like to start playing RPG's. Any tips on with what game I should start? |

RPG's for me, blasting people into oblivion is fun, but I have to be the guy in the front lines with the big pointy sword poking stuff. MMORPG's are cool too (I just got SWG, but can't play it yet, it's driving me nuts!). Pen-and-paper d&d, also known as Dungeons & Dragons, is a game where you and your geeky friends sit down in basement and play a game created by the DM (dungeon master). Games like Baldur's gate, Icewind Dale, Neverwinter Nights and Kotor (I think) are based on d&d rules. What I like most about d&d is the total freedom you have: Don't like the main plot? Travel to another country and search for other things to do. Wanna be a god? Do try. The game can be run exactly how you want it. I prefer fighting games. Soul Calibur 2 all the way, baby! I love rpg'ing, but after I discovered pen-and-paper d&d a few years ago, I now find every rpg game I play to lack in depth and mechanics=/ I also like fps games a lot. I like adventure games It feels so good when you solve a difficult puzzle. I'm currently playing Myst III: Exile, and I'm planning to buy Syberia, a game that I totally missed last year but I liked it's demo really much, so I'm going to try and find it somewhere  Not that anyone cares... |

Another one you missed is sports games and fighter games. You missed out strategy games (C&C for example), and along with FPS games these are the ones that take the most skill. RPG's are fun, but you don't really win.
