Loaf in the Hall of Fame?

Yeah, I know what you're thinking.... yes, he was controversial, very much so, and probably not a role model for the new students, but he also did many things for the Academy, the yearbook, of course the newsposts and JK:JA updates, etc.

Just thought that perhaps Loaf could be in the HoF now that JJ has been allowed in there too?

Should he be included?

Just remember that the Hall of Fame isn't for people that have left or retired, it's for people that have left a lasting impression on the Academy for better, not worse.

If you believe Loaf fits into this category that's fine, if you don't that's fine too.

I don't know enough about it to vote, just wanted to make sure everyone else knew just what they were voting for.

Take a good look at who is in the Hall of Fame. You might not know a lot about these people but let me give you a little backround info about the people I know in there.

Aayla was a guy who trained so hard and always got a long with everyone. He might not have been the best skillwise but he was the best in spirit.

Avalon, well he is a retired JAC. He was in the academy forever and was a really good duelist.

Datheus. I remember many a night dueling him for hours on DJ's old server and his "bah's" everytime the game's poor design showed itself. Great duelist and ex-trainer.

I'm not sure why Huxley was in there because I thought he was still active and I thought this was for in-active members.

JediSith999 is the founder. Period.

JJ was a lovable little irishman who caused fights but was still fun to be around.

Mofo was one of the best yellow teachers I've met.

Legolas was a trainer from waaaaaaay back when.

L-Rod was/is the best red dueler I know.

Mercen4ry was a really good guns teacher who was also from waaaaaaaay back when.

Yun was a JAC for awhile and a crazy blue user.

Phr00t. Not only taught the infamous countering but also was able to actively utilize it in nearly every duel he played. He invented(I believe) instant DFA. He had a demo of himself outrunning a rocket without speed or rage. Though now I realize he was just using strafe jumping from his old quake days.

The others I didn't really know so I can't really comment on them. I don't really think Loaf measures up to what some of these guys did(no offense). All these guys were old trainers except JediSith999 who just founded the place.

im not bashing him. I just dont think he should be in the hall of fame.

I know very well he is either reading this, or someone is telling him about the progress of this thread.
I know very well, that he would love to see his name in hall of fame.

I dont dislike loaf, but certain things have changed some of my views on him. I NEVER bash anyone.

There are plenty of people who just click the vote button, and dont post any comments, either positive or negative comments. Thats their choice.

If loaf gets in the hall of fame? Fine with me, since it would be the opinion of the majority; i wont argue with that. But before this happens, i just like to give my opinion on it.

Sure, he has done some good things for the academy, but from my view, he hasnt made any drastic impact. He worked hard to get some stuff done, i really appreciate that too.

Again, i dont dislike loaf, but i do not agree with many things he has done too (either known to the public, or not known).

Just take a look at the hall of fame, and compare loaf to the people in it. No personal offense ment, but there's a noticable difference.

Edit: Haemon said it all :)

voted no.

Loaf has done some good things, but has made some major screwups too. He has been quite active (=well-known/notorious, read it as you wish) for only a phew months in the academy, so no, in my opinion, he doesnt deserve a place in it.

I just dont think there is need to make a "marter" out of him now that he is gone. Thats just hypocrit, imho.

He does have an account (id 597), but just can't use it. Because he is banned, he does not show up in the databases. I think I remember seeing somewhere that someone said that they tried to put him in, but he didn't show up, thus if you saw a comment, it would say Ex-Retired. Loaf's now Ex-Student, but I can only say this as rumour, because I cannot verify where I saw this, but... *shrugs*
