I've taken two classes, but my profile still says 0 points. Does it take awhile, or did the instructors not add them? |

Hmmm weird, i got no points for my last class either. I'm not overly concerned with it, as i intend to play participate more classes anyway, but I'll just post it so you may find bug, or other glitches, in case Zero's hasn't forgotten to add em. also, if after a class you are still on the server and you see that the JAT is just hanging out and playing around then you could always remind him of the one-hour window... i'm sure he would rush out straight away to give out the points.  _______________ make install -not war |

In regards to Jacen's class he started trials after class ended, and unfortunately missed the one hour window for adding points. I'm sure he is deeply apologetic for this, and will not make the same mistake twice.
If you were in Zero's class when he didn't show then you didn't get points for that class either. These are some cons of the new points system. This doesn't make it a bad system, as it has many pros as well, but there will be times when things like this happen. I think it's also important to keep in mind that the points system is only 3 days old, it's going to take some time for everyone including JATs to get used to. Don't let this stop you from taking classes. After all if you signed up then you must be here to learn. You need not be rewarded with points to do that. The points like the ranks were just added for a little extra fun and to encourage people to take classes. Ask yourself did I join the Academy to collect points,and gain in rank, or did I join to become a better player? If points are your priority and you really feel like you can't live without the points you missed, then talk with a JAT or JAC about how you feel. If on the other hand becoming a better player is your ultimate goal, then forget about the points and go on taking classes. As I said this is a new system so it will take some getting used to, as well as some trial and error to sort everything out. In the meantime just be patient, keep practicing, and have faith that all the kinks in the points system will be worked out quickly. -Arcuss This comment was edited by Arcuss on Jan 15 2003 09:51pm. |
