Clear as drinking water--that's the problem: it's too obvious. After seeing Episode V, for those old enough to have seen them in order without knowing how it all ended, did anyone think that Darth Vader was going to be the one to slay the Emperor? Episode V was in many ways the best of them, revealing so much while raising so many more questions. If Episode III is as predictable as people think, it will suck hard. It is as clear as drinkingwater. In episode 2, his appreantice Lord Tyrannus, is at the head of that droid-army, he himself is the head of the clone-army. It does not matter who will win. Palpatine will be at the Head of the winning party, If The Clone-army wins he still wil have ultimate controls, and if his apreantace should win, he will rise at the top there, couse Dooku is talking about he works for his master. palpatine will become Sidious, when the time will let it, in Ep 3. aslo he would have to get rid of the Jedi, who will fight against him when his true personality rises. _______________ One night, I was lying in my bed, looking up at the stars and I said to myself: "Where the h*** is my ceiling?! |

In the original novel, _Star Wars_, by George Lucas, it explicitly says that Senator Palpatine is the Emperor. So that one's not even debatable. What _is_ debatable is that Sidious is Palpatine/Emperor. The movies thus far have certainly gone to great lengths to lead us to believe that this is the case. It would be much more interesting if it were not, if Palpatine in the first two movies were simply a well-meaning but overly ambitious sort who learned to use the Force in secret and eventually falls to the Dark Side. In any case, I hope for _some_ surprise in Episode III. There were none in the first two. _______________ My signature is only one line. You're welcome. |
