So firstly, hi to everyone! I havn't been around for a while and that's unlikely to change for a while but I like to look in once in a while and observe the craziness. Acey, I'm looking at you ... Secondly, I've been readinga bit about SWG and I was wondering what people thought about it. Good game or bunch of arse? I havn't played it but I would apreciate any thoughts from those of you that have. _______________ "Negative. I am a meat popsicle." |

Marsh, that ridicolous We could start to manual set the ping to 500 and limit the frames to 10 in JK2 so everyone has the same chances... And I dont see why a frame limi should improove internet connection? :/ _______________ Aeth S'kray *June 2002 +September 2003 |

Dunno, you have to pay for it :S |

The reason they limited the frames was so people who have 56k will have as much a chance as people with high speed broaband when dueling etc. |

There is usually one way i have found out that i can tell if someone will like it advance. This works most of the time but not all. Are u into mmorpgs? That will determine if u will like it. The one way that doesnt help is if you have never played one before. |

I'd say the game is currently decent. Not amazing or anything. And Aeth as for the people complaining about doing all this walking for one mission, well I think they're a little slow. A lot of delivery missions are from one city to the next and in almost every city they have shuttleports. So you pick up your item spend 150 credits or so on your shuttle ticket and go to the city for delivery and earn 1500 credits. The people running around everywhere are well just silly and not thinking. I had that figured out on the first delivery mission I took in the beta _______________ When you are going through Hell, keep going. -Sir Winston Churchill. ive been playing it since day 2 it came out, this is really a good game, oh and aeth....its not 80% of walking around. You can go on missions and earn credits, fight creatures from the star wars world and including using all the famous blasters and weapons...on tattooine there is jabbas palace and he can give you missions..its not wise to break a deal with jabba and hope he doesnt put you in the pit of carkoon! and whatever you choose to be,Rebel! Imperial! or nuetral! you decide its your destiny! P.S (any confrontation with tusken raiders you are being warned, they are armed and dangerous....) _______________ Free Tibet! For those who like the genre, it is very good. It is true that there are still some features not yet released, they will come and make it even better. I do not play it but I have seen it. The interaction with other players is really great, the game is unique on that area. The best thing to do is to join a Pa to enjoy this interaction. I think it is going to be much better when more people play it and advance in level. _______________ Ceterum censeo Carthaginem esse delendam |

I looked forward to the game for months. Many months. I had a complete plan worked out what I wanted to do, etc. I even joined a german PA. I dumped it all when I saw how the game was released. The reaction of the beta testers was like "Omg, they gonna release it NOW??". Looks like Sony wants to use the end customer as some kind of payed beta testing. Heared of mayn server downs and character restarts aswell. Another criticism I've heared: The game must be boring as hell. 80% of your jobs are loooong walks through the boring landscape. You deliever messages and such, and you need 30 minutes (RL minutes) to get from point A to B: Well, I havent played SWG myself, but for ME it is a disapointement. In something like 2 days the new GameStar magazines comes out, they've tested it over a month now. I'm curious what they gonna say. Oh, last not least: The developers limited the maximum frames per second! You CAN'T have more than 30 fps! How silly is that? _______________ Aeth S'kray *June 2002 +September 2003 |
