There was an office space cartoon short that mike judge did for saturday night live. Then he did a beavis and butthead short for liquid television on mtv and that spawned the show. This skit was originally released as a short cartoon clip on MTVs series Liquid Television. It was right around the same time they showed the first clip from an upcoming series that featured two animated tube heads with a propensity for talking to the tv and mischievous delinquent behavior.
