Plo, just because we hate Jar-Jar doesn't mean we don't like Star Wars. To me he is what would equal "dumb humor", not the more intelligent humor as seen in the old movies. But that doesn't mean I won't see the next SW film just because of him or George Lucas's (missing?) abilities to direct. |

that depends, are we arguing that the character was appropriate or whether we like the charachter? obviously he is not the brightest guy around, heck watch ep 2, it makes him very despisable. however i do disagree with the people who think he had no place ever existing in the star wars saga, he played a huge role and fit in quite well. |

He said Lucas has _become_ a crappy story teller. I actually liked Attack of the Clones but thought it could have been better if they had edited out all the stuff that doesn't move the story along. Also--I've mentioned this before, but it bears repeating--would have been much more interesting if the story Dooku told Obi Wan when he was captured had turned out to be the truth. Phantom Menace had major problems above and beyond Jar-Jar, but it too could have been helped a lot by editing out all the stuff that didn't advance the plot. The blood test to see if someone is a Jedi doesn't even pass the straight-face-test; I don't know how it ever made the final cut. How about a breathylizer to see if I'm a Jedi?
