Meh, HELP! I'm having problems with JK2 MP. I've tried fresh installs - everything, but to no avail (note, doesn't happen in JK2 SP). Basically, frequently (although by no means every time) on saber clashes (NOT locks) or other saber events, JK2 freezes, and gives me about half a second to alt-tab before it freezes windows as well. I usually get a freeze like this once every 10 minutes when playing online - I *really* would like some help in fixing this. _______________ Website |

Port Forwarding is for inbound connections, and won't affect you connecting to existing servers. If the router has a built-in firewall, Ident filter, etc, disable all of that and see if it helps. Also make sure the required outbound ports are open. _______________ Saving the world, one kilobyte at a time. |

Hey guys, been tryin to play JA and BF1942 and things for a while, but ever since my parents got a netgear router, I've been unable to play. Every minute or so of gameplay my connection freezes up for 5 seconds or so, then I'm back for another 60 seconds or so...that doesn't cut it for me I just tried using netgear's portforwarding thing for the ports that JA servers use, but that didn't help (I don't even know if that was the right idea). Anyone got any ideas? Thx |

Quote: The Linksys web site has detailed instructions for setting up a static local IP and port forwarding. Uhh.. Am I supposed to forward my port or something? I don't get it >.< When you're behind a Linksys router on which you have not changed any of the settings, you're assigned a random, constantly changing local IP address ("dynamic IP", assigned by the "DHCP Service", and all incoming unsolicited traffic is blocked by the router's firewall. To allow traffic (i.e. connections to a game server) through the router, you need to configure the router to keep your IP address constant ("set up static IP", and tell it to send all data that arrives in certain ports to your computer (we say that the router "forwards" the data on that port to your computer). The Linksys web site and, to a lesser extent, the manual that came with your router, have lots of valuable information on how to configure those two things on your specific router model. For Jedi Academy, you can choose what port you want server traffic on, but the default is UDP 29070. Also make sure that one or more Master Servers are set in your server.cfg, or your game won't send its data to the public server list. _______________ Saving the world, one kilobyte at a time. K, Orion, got a small problem! My partition allocations on my FAT32 Maxtor 60gb drive have become corrupted, and two separate partitions have been assigned the same space on the drive. As a result, I can install nothing, etc. All I want is to have a working drive again. I've spent hours fiddling in DOS (with my handy MS-DOS 5.0 ORIGINAL MANUAL ) using FDisk and such tools but to no avail. Ideas? _______________ Website |

Well, basically I used a MySQL database back-end, and I used M$ Access to process the data via queries and make the graphs. As for converting the log files I used AWK to filter out unnessary stuff so I got hold of a log file with usefull information and made it ; separated. Then I used some batch files to import it into the MySQL db. And the whole things automated via Delphi (ShellExecute). _______________ Get on your feet and do the Funky Alfonzo! |
